'We have a problem with you, and you have a problem maintaining your credibility': House Republicans
Daily Mail ^ | 6/23/14 | David Martosko, U.s. Political Editor

Republicans dropped a hammer on IRS Commissioner John Koskinen during a testy hearing covering the disappearance of emails tied to the agency's tea party targeting scandal.

The emails, covering the period January 2009 to April 2011, belonged to embattled former official Lois Lerner and could shed light on whether an expansive scheme to single out conservative groups for special scrutiny was guided by members of Congress or administration officials outside the IRS.

'The committee requested all of Lois Lerner’s emails over a year ago,' said House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Darrell Issa. 'And we subpoenaed the emails in August 2013 and again in February 2014. ... You worked to cover up the fact they were missing and only came forward to fess up on a Friday afternoon after you had been caught red-handed.'

'You personally did not cause the targeting,' he told Koskinen, referring to the tea party scandal. 'You personally did not destroy the emails. But by your actions and your deception, you now own this scandal.'

'We have a problem with you,' Issa sniped at the front end of a three-hour, 36-minute ordeal, 'and you have a problem maintaining your credibility.'

'All the emails that we have will be provided,' he said moments later. 'I did not say I would provide you emails that disappeared.'

That's an interesting choice of words. "Disappeared." I thought they had been lost.

They need to start jailing people for contempt of congress and threatening them with 10 year prison terms. Lerner and other underlings will sing like a canaries once she sees they’re serious.

Could somebody tell us please, what the prime investigator of the House that has all of a marshmallow axe at his disposal, is supposed to DO.

I guess he could wildly swing the marshmallow axe, but that would make him look rather silly.

There isn’t any sanction the House can attempt to initiate that won’t get instantly undermined by this perfidious executive that America has now (and wouldn’t have if even Mitt Romney or John McCain had been made president).

The joke is the Freepers on this board who badmouth any politician who is making some headway on any issue......

Maybe Issa won’t get anywhere but he is trying and has been for months

The headwind on this investigation has been the Media’s lack of coverage

Today you got the Washington Post jumping on board...It doesn’t mean its a sure thing by any means but These Guys are moving forward.....so why bash them ?

Oh I forgot..... thats what the brave Freepers among us do.

As an American Citizen, I feels the enormous contempt that is being delivered and allowed in these hearings and it make me sick to acknowledge in my heart that we truly have vast taxation with no representation.

People need to vote for God in their own heart.

And, pray.
And, worship.

Yes, and vote in earthly elections too. However the attitude of America towards God will have a whole lot of influence over the quality of what is to be FOUND on the ballot to choose from. God will prepare a table in the presence of our enemies, but won’t ever do it against our wills.

It’s astonishing! These days, you click open any FR thread on any effort to get at the truth of what this Administration is doing, and you’re met almost instantly with posts ripping Issa, Gowdy, the GOP, Paul Ryan, etc., or gloom-and-doom posts urging everyone to just give up. I feel like we’re being overrun by desperate sleeper trolls in a way I’ve never seen before.
