Here is an excerpt from a column by Susie Madrak over at CrooksandLiars.com, But Perlstein doesn’t mention the big honkin’ elephant in the room: Namely, at what point does the federal government literally go to war with its own citizens? Because we’re not talking about bank robbers here, we’re talking about (mostly) non-criminal cranks — scofflaws and political malcontents. So what line has to be crossed in the good old U.S. of A. before we start mowing them down to make our point? Because you can’t talk about the Bundy ranch without talking about Ruby Ridge, and Waco. These assholes want a civil war so bad, they can taste it.
Um, first off, what the hell is a “gun nut” exactly? Is someone who agrees with you on all of your other political issues but happens to have a collection of 10+ firearms a “gun nut”? Is the Libertarian who owns a handgun for self defense a “gun nut”? Is it only people who disagree with your other political stances?
Second, most gun owners are not sitting around waiting for the second civil war. Most gun owners are people you interact with every single day and you never have any idea that they have a gun safe at home and enjoy going to the shooting range on weekend.

I have a friend who would have had to starve himself to illness to meet reenlistment requirements. He weighs 30 pounds more than I do at the same height and that’s mostly muscle. His wrists are twice the diameter of mine. Their loss, my employer’s gain.

I also ridicule overweight people when they have physical handicaps that are a direct result of their weight and they whine about their handicap but refuse to acknowledge which is the obvious, they need to lose weight.
I had a very obese cousin. Doctor basically told here to lose weight or die. She did not whine about it. She got her stomach stapled, exercised, and lost about 300 pounds. She feels great.
I used to work at wall mart. It was always sad that the genuinely handicapped would sometimes have a hard time finding a handicap parking space or electric cart because the obese were using them all. One of the regulars at wall mart that I knew who was handicapped used to always come in early so he could get a parking spot and get an electric cart. I used to talk to him and he would bitch about all the fat a$$es hogging the electric carts. His words, not mine.
In conclusion I will say that I do not ridicule people based solely on their weight. I ridicule them for other reasons.
BTW, I got a good case going on where my 6 pack used to be.
Oh and please, don't bring up glandular problems. I know about glandular problems and I feel for anyone who has it.

Part of the phenomenon relates to people who aren't in any better physical shape telling the rest of us how to live (Moochelle, for instance). While many of us are not perfect, we tire of those with obvious flaws telling us how to live, and will waste no time pointing those flaws out.

Here, again, is a perfect example of why the right doesn’t get it. Liberals like guns and own them. Their problem with guns is that you can have them. They also see nothing wrong w/ genocide as long as it meets the goals of their agenda. I give you abortion as a prime example. However, they have no qualms about breaking into your house and killing you w/ their guns b/c of nothing more substantial than ideology. They’re motivated by hate and murder. Its no more complex than that....

When Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn led the domestic terrorist group Weather Underground in 1969, a chance meeting led Army veteran Larry Grathwohl into joining the group. Grathwohl served as a courier, running messages between the group’s leadership (called the “Weather Bureau”) and individual cells that were to carry out attacks.
Grathwohl was also an informant for the FBI.
In an interview from the 1982 documentary No Place To Hide that recently surfaced, Grathwohl discussed what the Weathermen intended to do after overthrowing the U.S. government, including what they would do with those Americans who refused to embrace communism.
I asked, “Well what is going to happen to those people we can’t reeducate, that are diehard capitalists?” And the reply was that they’d have to be eliminated.
And when I pursued this further, they estimated they would have to eliminate 25 million people in these reeducation centers.
And when I say “eliminate,” I mean “kill.”
Twenty-five million people.
I want you to imagine sitting in a room with 25 people, most of which have graduate degrees, from Columbia and other well-known educational centers, and hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination of 25 million people.
