Inside the Thad Cochran comeback
Politico ^ | June 25, 2014 | Alexander Burns

Thad Cochran’s political resurrection began with a campaign shakeup and ended with a Hail Mary television ad. Just three weeks ago, in the dead of night on June 3, the Mississippi senator’s staff sat shaken and dejected, crestfallen at the results of a primary that deprived the six-term incumbent of an electoral majority. With Cochran forced into a runoff fight against an aggressive and energetic challenger, a dark mood shadowed his backers in Washington and Mississippi.

The GOPe proved once and for all that they are Democrats who just want to be part of the club.

All I can say to the GOPe’s is what goes around, comes around.
A backlash is coming. Don’t know when or where, but it is coming.

So the whole ‘party of No’ who fight tooth and nail against Obama’s every move lie is out now?

Hope that message gets to the MSM. Push comes to shove the ruling elites stick together. If needed, they’ll go out and buy the black voters just as much as the Rats.

Lot of promises to be cashed in on I’m sure with taxpayer dollars as well as the street money that went out.

In time, the serfs are going to rise up and revolt. The tea party movement was suppose to address just concerns. Mark my words, blowback is coming.

The GOPe proved once and for all that they are Democrats who just want to be part of the club.

By exposing themselves as part of the " Arlen Specter" wing of the Republican party we need to consider the possibility of a challenge as an independent by McDaniel. How do the numbers shakeout?

By the GOPe actions we can be assured we will not take back the senate in 14. By acting like children in a school yard fight they have sewn the seeds for the old farts defeat. The establishment R’s thought they were enlisting allies from the democrat party in order to defeat the up and coming Tea Party candidate but it is the democrats that have made fools of the Re’s.

All those democrats votes will disappear in November and signififcant Tea Party votes will stay home. All giving the senate once again to the democrats.

I’ll bet Hugh Hewitt and Michael Medved will be gloating at Cochran’s having bested the “teabaggers.”

Aren’t Dem primaries closed—i.e., you have to register as a Dem or Independent to vote in them, but not GOP? If so, why aren’t GOP primaries closed?

Both Hewitt and Medved are simply “cutting their own throats”.

It’s like I said all along. The Republican elite would rather Democrats win than the tea party - they have NO interest in actually cutting spending or government. They are TERRIFIED of real reform.

Crossing the district to appeal to black Democrats to vote for their candidate rather than allow a reformist tea partier? It’s so clear, for anyone who wants to see.

I strongly encourage McDaniel to challenge the results.

It's clear Cochrane recruited democrats and unions to vote across party lines, furthermore I'd be suspicious of the counts.

McDanial hasn't conceded yet, let's hope he exposes these baseturds!!!
