Why the hell is Eric Holder still around? That’s a question many of Barack Obama’s political advisers have asked at various points throughout Holder’s tumultuous five years at the helm of the Justice Department.
For most of Obama’s presidency, in fact, if there’s been controversy, Holder was likely to be in the middle of it, from the failed efforts to close Guantánamo Bay and to prosecute alleged Sept. 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in a Manhattan court to his inability to send Wall Street executives involved in the mortgage meltdown to jail. His detractors in the West Wing of the White House, and there have been many, have seen the attorney general as a never-ending source of questionable decisions, tin-eared political missteps and off-the-reservation remarks. “If it was coming out of the Justice Department,” a former top adviser to Obama recalled to me, “it was bad news.”

Holder gives that nice ‘Chicago Street Gang Thug’ feel to the Obama Administration. It’s fitting.
He’s CORRUPT, EVIL and VILE....the PERFECT DEMOCRAT.
He’s black, serving a black president. That’s how he has survived.
He survives because he will not allow investigations into illegal activities of this administration. Until the media does its job, they will skate.
He knows WAY TOO MUCH about odumbo and there is no way they would throw Holder under the bus unless the wanted to be rid of him completely. (Watch your back Holder, it just may be in the making).

The article, the author, and even the headline, is absolutely stupid if they think it’s anything else.
Ron Brown comes to mind.
Why would he go anywhere? There’s been no call for his resignation. There’s been zero bad press on his account. Outside of conservative outlets like FR, nobody knows who he is.

This was known at the time Obama nominated him for Attorney General. Despite what was known at the time, the following Republican Senators voted to confirm Holder as Attorney General:
Jeff Sessions, Lisa Murkowski, Jon Kyl, John McCain, Saxby Chambliss, John Isakson, Richard Lugar, Chuck Grassley, Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe, Kit Bond, Judd Gregg, George Voinovich, Lindsay Graham, Lamar Alexander, Bob Corker, Bob Bennett, Orin Hatch.
Given that so many of these men and women still serve in the Senate, reviewing this list and thinking about the ineffectiveness of the House of Representatives since the Republicans took charge in 2011, causes me to believe the election of a Republican majority in the Senate this year will make zero difference in the direction of this country.
It’s frightening what can happen when the President has a loyal stooge as the AG to protect him. Throw in a sycophant press, a SCOUS whose collective IQ has been halved with the last two appointments, and a timid opposition and we live in a virtual dictatorship.
