LAUREL, MS. -- June 26, 2014: True the Vote (TTV), the nation's leading voters’ rights and election integrity organization, today released a letter submitted to Mississippi Republican Party Chairman Joe Nosef calling for the release of absentee balloting information for independent review prior to election certification.
"In order to avoid potential state and federal legal challenges we request that you preserve all absentee ballot applications, absentee ballots and accompanying mailing envelopes until the challenges to them can be resolved,” the letter stated. “Furthermore, we request that you not certify this election until this matter can be satisfactorily resolved.”
"This issue strikes at the heart of election integrity," True the Vote President Catherine Engelbrecht said. "Confidence in our voting process risks damage beyond repair when politicians of either party are willing to flout election laws in the name of self-preservation. Voters deserve to know that election processes and protocols were followed – especially in a close outcome."
The letter, submitted by Bernie, Maynard & Parsons attorney L. Eades Hogue, asks that Chairman Nosef reply by Friday, June 27. County party officials across the state were copied on the letter.

McDaniels can’t be found voting for Thad, if we the people, “Remember Mississippi”, and revolt, and MS sits on their hands against election theft and boycotts Thad on the ballot.
Also, reportedly there are 10 counties that are suspect. Should each county invalidate 1000 corrupt votes, as one county already reports, McDaniels can win by 4000 votes.
That’s not a bad margin to cover counties that have fewer than 1000 corrupt ballots.
Apart from the couple of very white counties with a couple hundred folks, I bet fraud can be found in almost all of them, even the heavy McDaniel ones like DeSoto. They need to search everywhere, because 6000 is a big number still, and they’re on the clock
I honestly think if they put 6000 fraudulent ballots in front of even a relatively good judge, the least they will get is a redo of the election (a la hattiesburg. Best case scenario the judge gives him victory outright
Then why doesn’t he file a formal challenge, I wonder? He will get funding for it when that occurs.
He cannot file the challenge until it is ‘certified’ or something, which is what he is pressuring for. Barbour and co are trying to leave too small a window between certification and the deadline so McDaniel cannot mount a challange. At least thats as I understand it, but Black Agnes and others know more than I do. I’m notin Mississippi.

It seems they are trying to run out the clock, some kind of underhanded tactic for sure.
Some of it was explained either on this or one of the other two threads.
I recall hearing some time ago that the person really behind this chicanery is good ol’ Mitch Daniels because he knows Cochran will support him for Majority Leader (if the Republicans take over the Senate in November) and McDaniels may not.
In addition, rumor has it that Cochran promised to “retire for health reasons” (we all know he’s either senile or suffering from Alzheimer’s already) after 2 years, so that the GOP-e can appoint his successor.
Sounded reasonable to me then and even more so now.

I think it’s time for a third party with a clear and distinct message. Don’t say it can’t be done because you’ll then be part of the problem.
If you can’t see that the Pubies and Dems are the same party, you need to move on. I refuse to vote for them. The Republicans will lose.

Absentee ballots are going to come out as 40% double voting. That should push the whole election over.
Poor ole Cochran is just wandering around clueless. His handlers are propping him up like Bernie. Cochran is in lala land thinking about all those farm animals he used to abuse.
Talk about a Pyrrhic victory. I hope that the results are contested for fraud across all county lines.
I am not a lawyer, but I have heard there is something called a Temporary Restraining Order. Perhaps one can be obtained to "stop the clock."
There is a story about Republicans caught cheating which is what gave the Dems carte blanche to cheat.
Anyone remember the details on this?
