Obama is consistently on the wrong side of terrorism and is asking for $500 million to fund the Al Queda backed Syrian rebels. Congress should not only refuse the request, they should pass a law prohibiting him from spending any money to support the Syrian rebels.
Syria's pilots are Alawite. Hafez Assad was an air force pilot.
If we see Russian Aircraft flying in a couple weeks, then we will KNOW the Russian Air-Force will be over the skies of Iraq. Just like Syria....

I would be skeptical about any of this.
Iraq has enough helicopter force to provide air cover and ground support. - If it can find pilots to fly the things in harms way.
Air superiority fighters aren’t going to do squat, even if they can be tasked to destroy infrastructure - which would be kind of stupid...

Iraq’s military has a long history of wielding Russian weapons, MiGs, AK rifles, and the Iraqi tanks are all Russian Soviet inventions. In fact, if Saddam hadn’t been a secular opposition to Iran, we would have stayed hostile to him due to his Soviet alliance.
