A former White House counsel during the Clinton administration said Thursday that it’s time for an independent counsel to look into the growing IRS email scandal.
Lanny Davis, a close adviser to Hillary Clinton and a frequent defender of the Obama Administration, appeared on my morning talk show in Washington, D.C., on WMAL. I asked him to comment on the latest hearings on the lost IRS emails conducted earlier this week in Congress:
If this were a Republican administration I’d be saying when hard drives have been obliterated and this recent Lois Lerner—I think very inappropriate, maybe innocent but completely inappropriate—’maybe we should look at Mr. Grassley’ uh … there’s no Democrat that I know of that wouldn’t be asking a Republican administration to conduct an independent investigation.

Well, I guess this shows that there are at least some Dem hacks who are willing to go only so far in twisting facts and spinning the news to defend a Democratic Administration.
Just carrying water for Hilary. She wants to make it appear she don’t even know who Obama is.

An independent counsel picked by Holder or Jarrett? Get real.
There are two things going on here. The first is whether Hillary can be implicated in any of this and the second is how fast can Hillary’s people turn this into a win for Hillary.
Think about this. If Obama is impeached and removed from office, Biden becomes President. Who will his VP be? You get a draft Hillry movement going and that’s game, set and match.
Good take on the situation.
They drag things out in court, until the public loses interest.
All this means is the demonic-rats are confident that all the emails have been destroyed. Expect further crashes if an independent counsel is appointed.

Yup, the only option Obama has now is to appoint a tame Special Prosecutor, preferably one that has donated large sum of money to Obama, to put the lid on this and run the clock out until after the 2016 elections.
After the prosecutor is in there can be no comment and no publicity because it’s “an ongoing investigation”
The Clinton’s honed this one to an art. And Ken Star managed to work through about 15 different Clinton acts of treason without indicting anyone.
Better to have Trey Gowdy investigate this guy, a least we get some results

If she was actually able to drive the investigation to resulting indictments without damaging herself, she would be a hero, and easily win the Presidency.

Election: 2016.
Feel free to throw in a 6-month delay at any point tin the process.

I suspect what the dems are pulling now is to elevate the narrative that Obama has created such a mess that only one person can possibly be elected to the White House who can clean it up.. and that person is Hillary.

They will prop up Hillary! as the smartest woman in the world (again) and how only she can right the ship that a man (Obama) screwed up.
no. Biden will be replaced long before any impeachment would finalize...with Hillary.

Obviously Lanny doesn’t see the IRS Scandals as a threat to the Queen-in-Waiting. This is Hillary speaking, BTW. Just because you don’t see her lips moving doesn’t mean it isn’t her voice coming out of Lanny’s mouth.
Independent counsel is only appointed by whom? Eric Holder. Just more smoke and mirrors and even if he does, it will be somebody like Fitzpatrick who knew even before his investigation got started on the Plame Game who the leaked was but instead decided to play the perjury trap game to get somebody inside the White House as the villain. Armitage walked with no consequences and his boos, Powell knew all along and did nothing to make sure that Bush’s White House took the hit.
Lanny knows this would take years and nobody but the innocent will be focused on as the sacrificial offering. Plus, if an appointment would be made, everyone would just take the “ongoing investigation” excuse to clam up so it would all get buried as far as the public/media focus is concerned.
His reservation is team Clinton.
