New York schools are probably good enough. The problem is in the raw materials. Not every student is mentally-equipped for college. 1 out of 3 is actually pretty good.
But they can't perform in the workplace either. If you're not in school and you're not working, what is the alternative?
Dumb down colleges so more kids can be sold the lie of 'moving on up to the East side'...
Raises tuition so liberal elites on campus earn more.
"Give" kids life killing loans - loans that destroy their lives and their family's lives...
THEN bring in millions of 'immigrants' to take the good paying tech and medical jobs.
For icing on the cake, get liberal elites to call everyone a Xenophobe if they don't go along with the scams....

Could 20k a year per student be better spent? Heck send ‘em all to prep school at that price.
At least they are “diverse”.
There’s nothing wrong with the raw materials. NYC successfully educated millions of poor children, non-English speaking children, etc. for well over a century.
It’s the teachers’ unions and the left-wing manipulation of the educational curriculum.
And it’s not just NYC. Last week’s news that a large majority of the people who take the Army’s basic skills test (reading, simple math, general knowledge) do not pass it should be a major wake up call.
