Money quote FTA:

It was a remarkable effort to smear Walker with outright lies - brazen untruths for which no correction will be made in any publication that ran the bogus story. In fact, so many got it so wrong you have to wonder about some kind of coordination like with Journolist, or whatever the liberal media network morphed into when it was exposed a few years ago.

I recall former labor secretary Ray Donovan being prosecuted for political reasons and, after being acquitted, asked the press, "Where do I go to get my reputation back"?

Walker would ask the same thing except he knows it's even less likely today to get corrections and retractions from liberal media.

In his agony, Ed Schultz slipped up and let the cat out of the bag:

“Ed Schultz concluded the segment by making a wild assertion. “Scott Walker could very well be indicted in the coming days,” the MSNBC host said.”

Isn’t that defamation?

The Milwaukee “Urninal” published a “Politifact” just yesterday claiming that Walker was telling a 100% untruth when he stated that the John Doe was closed. Well, what would you call it when 2 different judges threw the John Doe out of court and ordered it shut down. Now, today one of the investigators announces that Walker was never a target.

I have no confidence in “Politifact” at all.

Not entirely correct. Not to suggest that anything will come of it, but being a former Prosecutor I know Prosecutor speak when I see it. Not being the target, doesn’t mean they aren’t looking at him. I they were not, he would explicitly say something like “in no way do we believe Gov. Walker is guilty of any wrongdoing”. All the Prosecutor is doing here is trying to not piss off the Court of Appeals while it’s on appeal.

The only thing we can do is sit back and wait and avoid sensational headlines as truth ... from any source or side.

"Isn’t that defamation?"

A public figure has practically 0 chance of winning such a suit, but both Barry Goldwater and Carol Burnett did prevail. Of course it was too late for Barry. His political life was over.

Was that their best shot?

Two outs, last inning, 3 and 2 count on the batter, bases loaded, winning run on first. No pressure....

Over the plate, right down the center -

Swing HARD, for the fences -

And SWISH.

God, I love baseball.

I was in Minneapolis last Friday, and the Star Tribune had this story on the front page. You would have thought by reading that article that Scott Walker was so certainly guilty that he should start packing for the pokey that morning. Can our press be either that gullible, that easily manipulated, that incompetent, or that nefarious? Having worked in DC with journalists, I would have to say all the above.

Now how long do you think it will take for the GOPe to begin pouncing on Scott Walker? Say, send Haley Barbour’s goons up here to Cockroach him for November?

I used to think that was unthinkable by the GOPe, but after what they did to McDaniel and what Cantor’s bunch is doing to swipe all local GOP money away from Brat, nothing would surprise me.

Totally disgusting.
