The Democrats' best shot in Mississippi
Politico ^ | June 26, 2014 | ANNA PALMER

Democrats were crossing their fingers that Chris McDaniel would be the Republican nominee in Mississippi.

But since Sen. Thad Cochran has prevailed, they are trying to do the unthinkable — unseat a six-term GOP senator.

McDaniel supporters are irate that Cochran won a GOP primary by reaching across the aisle. Now some of his backers are ambivalent about whether they’ll come out at all in November — and if they don’t, that could create a rare opening for a Democrat here.

If the election is not overturned based on fraud. He needs to run as an independent candidate. If a Democrat wins, it will be still better than the corrupt GOP learning it can rely on Democrat voters to suppress its own base.

By the time Thad wakes up, he will have lost his seat to a Dem.
Which was their plan all along and they used RNC $$$ to do it.

It will be

McInnis alleged in an interview with Breitbart News that Connie Cochran, Sen. Cochran’s sister-in-law and the Perry and Hinds County election commissioner, asked local Democrats not to switch the poll books.

“In the state of Mississippi, you have to take steps to prevent crossover voting,” McInnis said. “If you voted Democrat in the Democratic primary, you can’t vote in the Republican runoff. The way we protect that is we switch the poll books. Pete Perry and Connie Cochran, who’s the chair of the election commission, called us and asked us not to switch the books—which is a clear violation of the law.”

McInnis told Breitbart News he personally witnessed at least one Hinds County precinct—Precinct 16—where the books had not been switched during the runoff day. “I went out to a precinct to make sure the laws were being followed, and I got there at about 4 o’clock p.m.,” McInnis said. “They had not switched the books, under the influence of the young Republican and Democratic workers there. I demanded that they switch these books immediately. The Democratic poll manager there switched the books at 4 o’clock that evening.”

McInnis said he thinks Perry engaged in this practice throughout the entire county, but he can’t be sure because Democrats were only allowed inside 15 of the county’s 109 precincts on election day. Two Democrat candidates for the U.S. House third congressional district in Mississippi headed to a runoff, and while Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS) represents most of Hinds County, the third congressional district has 15 precincts inside Hinds County.

His new froends on the left are laughing up their sleeves, BTW. They got him just where they want him-conservatives betrayed and redusing to pull the switch for him, and the rats he courted foing home for the general election. He and Barbour really outsmarted themselves. They can send the bouquets to Nancy Pelosi.

The only way to get rid of a rino is to elect the democrat. Then run a true conservative against him in the next election.

There are two choices in Mississippi. Re-elect Cochran or get rid of Cochran.

We now know for a fact Connie Cochran asks them to switch the books. Blatant fraud. No sane person would support Thad now!

Well said. If he gets away with this, we can just expect more of the same.

Bye-bye Thad. None of those 35,000 Dems will vote for you in the general election and all those conservatives you pissed on will sit at home.

You've got a nice home and car with the Republican Party and you've sworn to be with them until "death do you part". So wipe year tears, put some make up on your black eyes, try not to use your broken arm for a few weeks and smile while you pray the GOPe doesn't have to smack you around again. And if anyone asks, remember you ran into the door frame again. And if you try to leave, well... accidents worse than running into the door frame can happen.

The question is whether the method of putting the country first is to go for the short term win and let the GOPe have this one (again), or punish them in a way they will always remember and go for a longer term win for the country. And looking at how the GOPe is draining the Virginia party accounts to punish Brat, I no longer take their call for "party unity over all" seriously.

What this really looks like is the best shot the TEA Party ever had of picking up a major win a three-way split.

Dems regularly get a third of the vote in MS, I've read. Cochran can't get half of the Republican vote. A write-in campaign for McDaniels in MS has a better chance than Murkowski had in AK.

Yes, vote for the cheating rino who made a deal with the dems to “sin” the promary.
Go ahead, vote for the rino who vowed to crush you personally because you are a conservative.

Good point, re Virginia. They must think that they are superb covert operatives and we can’t see these things. Yes indeed, we see their “party unity”.

Party unity? Like the unity the GOP is showing in VA, after a conservative beat their boy Cantor? Like the unity they show every time a TP candidate wins, without their support?

I almost want him to run as a write in, however Harry Reid is a wrecking ball to this country. I am not a big fan of the DC GOP establishment, but its better than Reid and the democraps.

I don’t understand how some believe that putting a scumbag like Cochran back in the Senate is somehow best for the country...is it simply because he has an (R) after his name...this is the best (Rs) can do for representation?

Hello no. Let the Dems have it,,and when the country club elite republicans squeal,,tell them to go talk to Rove. This mess is HIS doing.
