It’s used by poll workers.

Snip
When a voter signs in, a poll worker gives them an activated voter card. The voter
inserts the card into an AccuVote TS or TSX, and the machine allows her to cast
one ballot. Once the vote has been recorded, the AccuVote TS/TSX deactivates the voter
card so that it cannot be used to vote a second time. The voter returns the card to poll
workers, who can reactivate it for subsequent voters.

thanks for the explanation. I thought it might be something that gave the user access to the insides of the machine. So, this is not super alarming right? Except that it was a stolen ID.

So he walks in to vote, takes a card, sticks it with his wallet, forgets where it is along with his wallet, and walks out with it without voting.

Not exactly a smoking gun —

With the right technology, it could be reprogrammed to allow multiple voting and be untracible.
Semiconductor companies would have the technology.

If that is the card pictured, it looks like the card that election clerks activate in order to cast a ballot on a touch screen voting machine.

It automatically becomes null after each use, but when inserted into a little activating machine, it can be reused and reused. But, it is a 2 step process.

so this person did not return it — does that mean he can vote again or something?

No. Not unless it is re-programmed. If somebody also stole the voter key, they could re-program that card indefinitely.

From implication, it would appear this man didn’t vote. His wallet was stolen, turned up at polling place

Dig deeper. Maybe it was a ‘test card’ that a company makes for the sole purpose of repeatedly testing machines while servicing. That could be the ticket in many locations to fraudulent repeat voting or such. This could be the tip of another iceberg.

I would not be surprised.

Also, can I say Breirbart and Drudge are almost totally ignoring the entire situation. It should be headline news what Claude McInnis has accused Perry of ordering him to do. Andrew would be ALL OVER THIS.

If you have your own card, coded a certain way, I suspect you can vote a number of times.

yes, it is super alarming because the person who used the stolen ID probably went somewhere else to vote with their own ID.

“Now, can we connect this to the Democrat Party or the President?”

Don’t be absurd.

The GOP is not what you think it is. They are right to hate and to fear the “Tea Party”, because the Tea Party wants to destroy them and their corrupt, fascistic little empire they have built with their friends across the aisle.

I can’t take everyone acting surprised and hurt. Who the f*** did you thin you were up against? Did you think, if McDaniel got 50.1% of the vote, that they would not have supported the Democrat or run an “independent” to make sure he lost?

We are exactly what they say we are. We are trying to organize a political movement to destroy their world.

Did you REALLY think they were going to be inviting us in for sweet tea or a mint julep?

I’m not familiar with what a Voter Machine Card is?

It is a chipped Common Access Card that is needed to activate the voting machine. It ensures that those who want to vote have to be checked in and sign the book before they can actually vote. They are supposed to be controlled, but I can picture a busy poll (or one in a heavily Dim area) "losing" a few.

The Voter Access Card is inserted into a slot on a touch screen voting machine. You cannot touch an activated screen without the card. After voting, the voter is to turn in the Card to the election workers.
