I was on the Golan Heights back in 2011, Israel controls the vast majority of the Heights. 95% of the Syrian portion must be awfully small.

If the extra garrisoning going on in Efrat is any indication, Israel is expecting anything at all to happen at any time in the near future. In the Golan, probably triply and quadriply so. Good thing about Islamic fatalism is that once you get them to run, they keep running. Bad thing is, once they get a good advance going, they’re hard to stop.
