When Jesse Jackson supports what you just did...you know it wasn’t right

And yet, good ole AP reports it dutifully as a serious analysis….

Republicans need to only allow Republicans to vote in our primary elections and run offs. Here in NC I cannot vote in dim-0 primaries, or run offs, why should dim-0s vote in ours?

Letting the ‘Rats pick your candidates through open primaries is like the Harlem Globetrotters doing the hiring for the Washington Generals. You know that’s not the ticket to success.

The difference is that the Democrats do it illegally. Before it is all over the truth will come out.

Lying, slandering and cheating to persuade ignorant people to vote for corrupt leaders is what Jesse Jackson has always been about. It’s his bread and butter and Italian shoes. Thad, Rove and the Republican left have vindicated Jesse by imitating him. Of course Jesse will sing their praises, but he won’t get those same ignorant, corrupt voters to support Thad in the general election.

Does this make Thad Cochran the first black Senator from Mississippi?

There’s nothing new about using the black voting bloc to steal elections.

BTW, black Dem voting in the run-off was encouraged not only by the RINOs, but by the Dems themselves. It’s just part of their standard race-baiting tactics.

Kind of like “Operation Chaos,” one of Rush Limbaugh’s stupider ideas and one that probably got us Barky.

A new America? No, its the same old America with the race-bating and LIVs turning out in droves to protect their handouts - so they think. Is it true that the people in MS are the lowest on the educational ladder? If so, I’m not surprised.

Well, if it does, I would love to:

A. hear how his handlers explain it to him

B. listen to his own understanding of said explanation at a live event.

(“Uhh… I think it's because I remember picking… uhh… cotton; from that to all kind of indecent things with those folks.”)

The Nina Burleigh Press and 95% of Black (if not more) vote got Obama nominated, not Rush. The same held true for the Presidential election, and though John McCann was no was no contender, (results would have been worse without Palin IMHO).

Lying, slandering and cheating to persuade ignorant people to vote for corrupt leaders...is what Thad Cochran did.

Nobody is opposed to seeking support from voters who happen to belong to a minority group, but Cochran didn't do that. Instead he, or groups affiliated with him, created misleading campaign materials to encourage voters who would never support him in the general election to vote in the primary election. That's dirty pool.

It is also an example of how very targeted, semi private campaign communications can be used to generate votes based on misinformation. Had Cochran widely circulated the materials that were given to potential African American voters their inaccuracy would have been obvious, and he would have have damaged his reputation with the rest of the electorate. But narrow voter targeting allows campaigns to get away with creating and distributing false and misleading campaign materials.

Cochran's behavior and that of his supporters isn't an example of having a "big tent" and including minority groups in a campaign, it is an example of ugly, prejudice driven politics of the sort normally conducted by Democrats.

“You cannot win in the new South or win in national elections with all-white primaries. This is a new America today.”
However, All Black Primaries still exist in Detroit, Camden, Baltimore, etc.....
Next thing you know the Mississippi Rebels going to be called the Mississippi Freedpersons.
Them White Southern Mississippi Democrats going to rue the day them Liberal Democrats took over their State, they can migrate to “fly over country”; I would not recommend Detroit, East Saint Louis, Chicago, Gary, all having been under Democrat Control for decades with poor financial results.

Mississippi should have done it like we did in Oklahoma. You only get a ballot for the party you have registered to be in - on the voting rolls. There’s no Democrats picking the primary winners for Republicans - that way!

Not the only criteria but I will not vote for any candidate that does not openly and enthusiasticly support “CLOSED PRIMARIES”.
