I bet Obama will oppose any effort at Russian intervention. Obama wants the Caliphate.
What do they propose to do about it?

He seems to. But, he wouldn't want to be subject to Sharia, himself!
Would Vladimir actually involve Russia militarily in the Iraq situation and do what many believe the US should be doing?
Obama has certainly given Putin the opening to take some action against ISIS.
From the reports we’ve been hearing they had better get a move on.

Russia recognize there is a rare strategic opportunity to slaughter their most determined jihadist enemies. ISIL fighters are greatly overextended on Iraq. Their rear supply bases are being harassed by Hezbollah and Syrian air attacks. Their center flank faces ferocious Kurds who are anxious to seize more territory. Their southern thrust against Baghdad has for now been stopped by the Iraqi army bolstered by enthusiastic Shi’ite militia. The Russians know that with proper leadership, coordination and logistics, the ISIL could be placed in a deadly vise.
Russia is very well aware of the implications having the “Ring of Fire” at their southern borders. Funding Shias balances out the Sunnis.
Could ISIS be the germ of Armageddon???
