Malinvestment in China proceeds at a staggering pace. Technically, this growth adds to GDP, but eventually it will be written off.
Ghost cities, ghost malls, and empty train stations in China have been in the news for years. The world's largest mall is unoccupied and entire cities sit vacant.

The PRC is more capitalist than America now.
Strangely, you cannot join the military. You have to apply and be accepted....like college.

So they are well inland. Have they bought into the warmist hype or as some have wildly theorized, they’re planning for very rough seas and subduction due to an asteroid or asteroids striking? It’s just so weirdly wasteful and pointless without there being some larger explanation.

This was supposed to be “stimulus” for their economy. Their commies are a lot like our commies. lol

To be fair, Chinese people are crammed like crazy in their eastern seaboard cities like Shanghai.
If they could get the economic incentives working, some of those could spread out into the Potemkin villages. Trouble is, on earth you don’t usually have success in setting up fairytale cities and putting people in them and having them live happily ever after. Places have to be founded small and evolve, with lots of grit and work and sweat. The Potemkin villages doubtless won’t be found complete and will require some rebuilding, if they do get populated.

.... Surprised China isn't promoting these cities to American filmmakers as full sized "Movie Sets." I bet they even have life sized transformer robots lying around going unused. I bet Michael Bay could save billions of bucks on special effects costs smashing and blowing up these empty cities.
.... btw .... haha .... I'm just kidding .....

Raccoons tear the roof off. They did that to out house; ripping the spinning ventilators off!
I ended up with covering the holes with plywood and roofing and ventilating the attic thru gable end vents (with hardware cloth over them!)
The neighbors weren't so lucky.
They are (were!!) snowbirds and when they returned one spring, they found their entire house was in shambles!!
'Coons ripped off the soffit under the eaves and entered.
They had to live out of their RV until the contracors fixed everything.
