To say that Sheldon Adelson is a major political player would be like calling the Grand Canyon a big hole in the ground. Mr. Adelson certainly puts his money where his mind is or, perhaps one could say, where his interests lie. In 2012 alone, he donated around $100 million to Republican candidates and causes. So its little wonder that he is quite popular among many Republican politicians eager to gain his attention and his favor. Over the past year, Adelson has aggressively sought policy returns on his political investments, and he is leading some in the GOP down dangerously un-Republican paths.
Texas governor Rick Perry is one Republican who has foolishly joined Sheldon Adelson and Willie Brown in their crony assault on the Tenth Amendment. Despite his oft-stated disdain for federal meddling in state affairs, Governor Rick Perry recently sent a letter to Congress encouraging passage of Adelsons ban on online gambling. Governor Perry even took to pages of the conservative National Review with an article ostensibly intended to reconcile the reality of the ban he advocates with the conservative positions he purports. He falls short.

Sheldon Adelson doesn’t like Santorum much and made that clear during the last election cycle.
Wonder why folks even think Perry is conservative...he is pretty much a liberal statist
Pushing the STD vaccine (HPV) on little girls in TX...via executive order...not only is statist...it is a bad vaccine (70% effective) to begin with...and, kinda pervy to push it on only little girls
Also, Perry, signed the bill for In State College Tuition for Illegal Aliens, pushed NAFTA/NAU SuperHighway (Which Texans rose up and stopped)
Perry will headline a hamburgers and hot dog cookout fundraiser for Republican Rep. Mick Mulvaney at City of Light in Indian Land on July 2. Tickets cost $10 per person, $25 per family and $250 for a chance to have a photo with the Lone Star State boss.
Maybe Menendez and Perry got the idea off Romney and Bolling.
The idea of banning online gambling is liberal how? Seems that he is doing a Conservative thing here...
Boys should be vaccinated too. A friend had a lover with a wart on his gizmo, and she ended up with cervical cancer cells, which fortunately were killed by freezing off the surface skin.
The HPV vaccine, gardasil, is junk. It has a low effective rate (70%) and lasts about 5 yrs. It also has made many sick
Note that Perry did this back door, without going thru legislature
Gosh, back door, isn’t this what Obama does?
