Louisiana Republican Rep. Vance McAllister known as the Kissing Congressman has decided to seek a full term after announcing his retirement earlier this year.
McAllister had hinted for weeks he was considering running for reelection, but he confirmed it in an interview with the Monroe News-Star this morning. He later confirmed the news at a press conference at a park in Monroe, where he was greeted with enthusiastic applause by upwards of 75 supporters, the newspaper reported.
I wanted to make sure everything was good with our family, McAllister told The News-Star earlier in the day.

Some people just don’t know when to go away
Louisiana Congressman Admits Kissing Staffer in Video
Stay gone dude
Didn’t you say this guy was leaving the House? You’ve been hornswaggled.
Kissing can get you pregnent.
He’s acting just like a Democrat.
He should resign in shame. Or the Republican Committee should toss him out.
Thanks. Based upon the information in your first link, McAllister needs to go. Anyone (at least Republicans—DemocRATS would consider it a badge of honor) who destroys another person’s marriage and life doesn’t deserve to be in Congress.
1. Find some hot babe to be my District Scheduler!
He wasn’t just having an affair with any woman, it was the wife of his childhood friend.
It is really difficult for these idiot pols to pull away from the trough. God forbid that he’d have to find a real job rather than one in which everyone kisses his arse.
At the time of that thread, the current articles were still repeating McAllister's lie. IIRC, I also said that he was probably biding his time, waiting for the dust from his indiscretion to settle.
LOL at the auto-correct mangling of "hornswaggled". That just tickles my ribs.
IMO, this is the factor that will cause McAllister the most grief. If he'd knife a close friend in the back...
He is pro-amnesty.
