As predicted, Monday’s Supreme Court ruling 5-4 in favor of Hobby Lobby, Conestoga Wood Co., and other family-owned businesses who filed against the contraceptive requirements provided in the HHS Mandate raised howls of outrage from the left. American women were being thrust back into the Dark Ages of 2009, yada yada yada. Many lefties took to Twitter to spew hate.

Progressives just aren’t too smart.

Hobby Lobby is not against contraceptives, it is against abortion and the morning after pill which destroy human embryos

Dems are gonna blame the GOP on this issue, despite the fact that they had no say in the decision.and here we go again, those evil republicans are gonna block access to all sexually active white women from acquiring birth control! just like how Bin Biden threatened more rapes if the GOP didn’t pass the next legislation.

“Dems are gonna blame the GOP on this issue,”

Dems are indeed chanting that it’s the Republicans who are banning contraceptives.

Scariest thing is that I keep hearing “we must change the makeup of SCOTUS”!

Progressives are deceitful, devious, and downright nasty.

You’re correct about HL.

To them, disagreeing with them is equal to rape.

I heard on the Dem channel (their whining was sweet) :

This puts the employers in a woman's doctors office making her health decisions for her”

This takes away woman's right to her access to contraception”

This decision sets the framework for overturning anti-discrimination laws
(like those giving a right to gay weddings photo service?? HA)

“Hobby Lobby is not against contraceptives, it is against abortion and the morning after pill which destroy human embryos”

For liberals the new term for abortion is “contraceptive” if won’t be long before the media will no longer use the word abortion. Today marked the beginning of liberals changing the narrative, now they are “pro-contraceptives”

Gee, if we fight for what is constitutional and right, the leftists will lie about our intentions and their outcome. So?
They lie as a matter of course. They lie to the press, they lie to their own constituents, and they lie to themselves. Seems like a pretty good day at the ol’ SCOTUS, all in all.

...true enough...though I think the terms ‘contraception’ and ‘abortion’ will be morphed together under the rubric of ‘women’ health issues’...

...sadly, women in general get a black eye with this sort of nonsense...makes them look like whiny children...

Hobby Lobby is one of the few stores that carries the Krylon
Looking Glass Spray Paint needed to make those wonderful
antique mercury glass look-alike items.

Krylon sprayed on clear glass items---lots of tutorials on-line.

“...Progressives just aren’t too smart...”

Actually, friend, they are VERY smart.

They know exactly how to belabor a point, how to twist a message and make it into something it’s not, and they know how to package it so the average knuckleheaded, low-information Dem voter laps it up and froths at the mouth over it.

We do ourselves a grave disservice underestimating them.

No, just messing around.

RE: Hangover. Part 1 & 2 are the same, except one takes place in Las Vegas, the other one in Bangkok. Part 3 was putrid, avoid.

Just watched “The Wild Bunch” on DVD the other night.

Great flick. Holden, Borgnine, and Robert Ryan were perfect in their parts.

They just don’t make ‘em like that anymore.

It’s been on cable several times over the last ~month.

Good stuff. Pretty much most of those guys are gone. I think Bo Hopkins is the only one left.

Yep...

“Gritty” is always how it’s described...

Love the turn of the century weaponry on display (you know me, with the old guns...John Moses Browning was still alive back then, and arming half the world!!!)

Yeah...Browning was a genius, no question about it.

Speaking of classic weapons systems, my Uncle was a custom rifle based on a Mauser. I think he’s only fired it ~50 times. What a piece. It was made by a friend of his who was a former MLB player. It’s worth beacoup bucks.

I’ll take a pic and email it to you.

Nice!

I’d like to get an Enfield, but both the price of the rifle and the ammo are silly.

A couple No. 4 MkI’s and a No. 5 Carbine.

Awesome bolt guns.

I turned on the TV couple Saturdays ago ( in the AM - unedited) and there it was. The Wild Bunch...

Remember when libs were screaming how violent Bugs Bunny was?

Bugs too violent, you say? Que up The Wild Bunch!

It is a violent flick. But the violence fits the story, it’s not “over the top”, at least to me it’s not. It was a violent story set in a violent time.

Enfield: I’ve been looking off and on - the quality is blah and the prices are high. I kick myself for not buying a couple of the .308 models ~20 years ago when they were released for cheap. Those prices are really silly now. Plus .303 ammo is high $; the cheap days of the surplus stuff are gone.
