One of the Murdered Boys Put Up a Fight Source Says [Police botched call for help]

Forensic evidence from the bodies shows the boy fought back against his attackers.

One of the three boys kidnapped by Arab terrorists on June 12 gave a good accounting of himself and put up a fight before he was murdered, a source said.

The source is involved in the forensic identification process of three bodies found in a field near Halhul Monday evening and said one of the boys fought back against his attackers.

The source told the Walla! news site that forensic evidence being gathered at the Abu Kabir Institute shows that one of the teens put up “meaningful resistance” against the kidnappers.

The boys were abducted by terrorists while hitchhiking home from their yeshiva for the Sabbath, at a routine hitching stop in Gush Etzion. An IDF source told the news site that after the Arab terrorists grabbed the boys near the Jewish community of Alon Shevut, the vehicle they were traveling in headed west and then made a U-turn to go south towards Hevron.

Within minutes, at about 10:25 p.m., one of the boys called the “100″ police hotline, whispering into the cell phone, “I’ve been kidnapped. We’ve been kidnapped!” He then went silent, perhaps fearing his captors would discover he was using the phone. Shortly after the call was made, shots were fired and the phone went dead, a little more than two minutes later.

It is likely the terrorists decided to cut their losses and run. They had no way of knowing that police had bumbled the call, leaving open a window of more than five hours before anyone in supervision or above would even take the call seriously, let alone bother to follow it up. (At least four senior police officers have been dismissed as a result of that decision.)

Instead, the kidnappers likely believed that police would soon be on their tail – and decided to end all doubts, murdering the boys and escaping with their own lives intact.

Within hours of starting their search, security forces found a burned-out vehicle, a rifle and bullet casings near the Palestinian Authority Arab village of Dura, slightly south of Hevron – a hotbed of Hamas terrorists, among others. It’s been searched repeatedly by IDF soldiers in the past 19 days.

But no kidnapped boys were found; no bodies and no perpetrators. The terrorists took just enough time to hurriedly transport and bury their victims’ bodies in a shallow cave that is barely visible in a farmer’s stony field, alongside the PA Arab village of Halhul — another classic ‘terrorist central’ stronghold.

Thanks to the determination and unending energy of tens of thousands of IDF soldiers, and the intensive efforts of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) agents, searchers were led in the direction of that field Monday afternoon.

Despite fierce resistance from surrounding villagers who clearly knew what was concealed there, at last the searchers reached their first objective in Operation Brother’s Keeper, and found the sad evidence they were looking for.

Let the memory of Eyal Yifrach, Naftali Frenkel and Gilad Sha’ar not fade, let their blood not have flowed in vain.

May there memories be for a blessing and may God avenge their blood.

May the soldiers of the IDF and the agents of the Shin Bet find success in the next phase of Operation Brother’s Keeper as they continue their hunt for the murders of our boys.

Wait until Iran sees the fight that Israel will put up before they allow those bizarre apocalyptic loving mullahs to obtain nuclear weapons.

Those poor boys. Heartbreaking. Most of the coverage has been more sympathetic to the freakish Palestinians whining on tv that Israel should not gin up the violence in the aftermath. Disgusting.

“Thanks to the determination and unending energy of tens of thousands of IDF soldiers, and the intensive efforts of the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) agents,”...I am thinking there was some “energetic” questioning of suspects that led to the location of the bodies.

“...Palestinians whining on tv that Israel should not gin up the violence in the aftermath.”

If they want to avoid it, all they have to do is turn over the kidnappers, like any civilized people would.

Exactly.

When the perpetrators are discovered their families need to suffer. I mean every Aunt, Uncle, Cousin, Brother, Sister, should have their home bulldozed to the ground. The town they are from will receive ONE warning. Any further Terrorist acts committed by the citizens of this town and the town will be wiped off the map.

Message to all gutless child killers: If you harm an Israeli citizen you AND YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY and TOWN will pay the price in retribution.

Yes, and it boggles the mind that if only his parents hadn't been so "worldly", he could have been save and sound in his American home right now.

“Time for more carry conceal in Israel.”

Never happen. The only easy way is to own a jewelry store.

I have a buddy who used to let people “buy into” his store and become “part time” workers just for that reason.

In fact it's a family of terrorists. Multiple arrests for pop and his sons, one killed in a terror attack in 2005. This is what Israel is expected to make peace with.

Gun ownership is highly restricted in Israel. Essentially only retired military or police, those living in Judea or Samaria, and dangerous occupations, which does include things like guards and taxi drivers. And then you own a handgun, as in one. Of course there’s lots of military, active and retired in Israel, so firearms are around.

I'm betting that the perpetrators, and their families, will be financially rewarded. So a bulldozed house will be just a small inconvenience.

The money will come from the Saudis, who in turn get their money from you and me. Sick, isn't it?

Wow, I did not know Israel was so restrictive in gun ownership. You would think with the constant danger the citizens are in, that carrying would be mandatory.

Though some things changed over the years, Israel essentially adopted versions of the British legal system in effect at the time. Which incorporated parts of the Turkish system relative to land ownership. But the Brits weren't big on civilians with guns. Of course lots of Israelis are eligible. A few years old so details might have changed.

The Israel Dept. of the Interior makes notification to the general public the requirements necessary for the obtaining of a permit to possess a firearm:

1. Applicant must be a permanent resident of Israel for 3 consecutive years prior to making application for a firearms permit.

2. Applicant must be 21 years of age.

3. The permit request must be for personal use, not to engage in the business of firearms sales.

4. Applicant must fall into one of the following categories:

a. Part-time reservist (volunteer) for 3 years- may own 1 handgun

b. Such a reservist (volunteer) is a member of a gun club - may own 1 rifle

c. Professional, licensed public transportation driver, transporting a minimum of 5 passengers - may own 1 handgun

d. Licensed animal control officer- may own 2 hunting rifles, *not* full automatic weapons, or semi-automatic weapons with a limited capacity magazine.

e. Full-time dealer of jewelry or large sums of cash or valuables - may own 1 handgun

West Bank and Gaza Strip Settlers:

1. A resident in a militarily strategic buffer zone, essential to the security of the State of Israel - may own 1 handgun

2. A business owner in these geographic areas - may own 1 handgun

Veterans:

1. Veterans of the Regular Army honorably discharged with the rank of non-commissioned officer, and veterans of the Reserve Army with the rank of regimental commander- may own 1 handgun

2. Retired law enforcement officers with the rank of sergeant - may own 1 handgun

3. Retired prison guards with the rank of squadron commander- may own 1 handgun

Individuals:

Upon presenting documentation that one is about to receive a souvenir, a prize, an inheritance, or an award of appreciation from the Israel military.

Thank goodness they thought they had to act quickly. I assume and hope that these boys died quickly. If these animals had the time, I am sure they would have killed them slowly and made a video of the torture to honor their god satan.

May the souls of these boys rest in peace. And may Perpetual Light shine upon them.
