WASHINGTON — The Obama administration has been struggling to clear up data discrepancies that could potentially jeopardize coverage for millions under the health overhaul, the government's health care fraud watchdog reported Tuesday.

The Health and Human Services inspector general said the administration was not able to resolve 2.6 million so-called "inconsistencies" out of a total of 2.9 million such problems in the federal insurance exchange from October through December 2013.

Of the roughly 330,000 cases that could be straightened out, the administration had only actually resolved about 10,000 during the period of the inspector general's audit. That worked out to less than 1 percent of the total...

Fraud you say? You mean a system that pays out tens of billions to people with no background checks might be exposed?

Who knew?

It was always meant to be a total failure so that Rats can come back and demand more government to “fix” it.

You’d be surprised how loud the clamoring is for single payer. It’s not working that well anywhere it is being used, but it will get those evil insurance companies.

Insurance companies are going to do just fine.

They contribute huge $$ to candidates and provide lush jobs for ex-politicians as lobbyists.

No way is that gravy train gonna be derailed in the name of ideology.

” More than 40 percent of the problems involved citizenship and immigration information. Income was the next category, accounting for one-third of the problems.”

So...that means 3,200,000 of them are illegals.

What could go wrong?

“8.1 million” ObamaCare sign ups!!!

but . . .

2.6 million unresolvable discrepancies - this article.

1.4 million did not have insurance last year - the liberal Rand Corporation’s study http://www.forbes.com/sites/theapothecary/2014/04/09/rand-comes-clean-obamacares-exchanges-enrolled-only-1-4-million-previously-uninsured-individuals/

1.6 million never paid - http://www.thewire.com/politics/2014/02/one-five-obamacare-enrollees-never-paid-their-first-premium/358105/

30 million still uninsured under ObamaCare http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/06/07/obamacare-leaves-millions-uninsured-heres-who-they-are/

A lot of people are double counted, but I’m curious how many previously uninsured paid their premiums and have no unresolvable discrepancies. Whatever the number it’s under 5% of the previously uninsured - pretty sad for mandatory enrollments in an IRS-enforced program.

Wanna bet those “2.6 million so-called “inconsistencies” out of a total of 2.9” are really fake sign ups?
