“I am surprised they admitted that much.”
The next month or so will be an exercise in ‘trickle truth’ for them.
How incredibly shocking that criminals deny their criminality!
They even responded to the allegations and yet, the MSM and even most “conservative” media refuses to mention the story.
They have actually exposed themselves now. They admit working with this man! His texts can no longer be dismissed as forgery
Amazingly enough every paid ($15) “vote worker” brought in 1 vote.
Just a coincidence. I’m sure.
The “get out the vote workers” included every black democrat who got out and voted as well as the guys who were supposed to put the cash into the envelopes.
bump
Apparently Limbaugh said (at the tail end of his show) he has audio on this subject tomorrow, according to some FReeper.
That could be big. Maybe he will find a way to interview this “Reverend”
I’m sure a lot of the D black voters that received a $15 envelope would just love for the opportunity to be on TV and be FAMOUS.
Time to start searching for a few of them.
I hope so. Savage had it on his website, but has yet to cover it. Mark Levin will hopefully lead with it tonight
Yep —
and they will come on TV and laugh about it becuz they wuz takin money from one republican to stick it to another.
I am surprised they admitted that much.

Me too. I think this little fact is what broke the dam with Rush and Hannity. If I were in their shoes I would have a staffer look into the charge and beg off addressing the issue with a “We’ll get back to you on that”.
Never Forget Mississippi and the corruption of Cochran. Let this energize the Tea Party Liberty Reform! Those who would buy votes would sell their own.
These two pictures of the Reverend's text messages (one message, two parts) would seem (on the surface) to corroborate Cochran's claim because the staffer is asking for individual names and home addresses. That would indicate they were paying get-out-the-vote (GOTV) workers because they would need that information for the campaign's FEC paperwork.
However, the Reverend has stated that he personally handed out hundreds or thousands of envelopes containing $15 each to voters as they were going in to vote. So, lets examine that.
Cochran's campaign would need to report the name and address of GOTV workers they paid. They would have no reason to avoid asking for those names/addresses via text message. That's a logical explanation for those two texts. It's a good legal cover for what was really going on.
Back to the Reverend. He and anyone he authorized to hand out money for votes would be considered GOTV workers. So to cover their tails, all Cochran and Staff have to do is deny that they did anything other than pay GOTV workers. Their campaign cash-out expenses will show only the amounts paid to GOTV workers. The money that went to individual voters will not show up anywhere. That money came from other people/accounts.
Cochran and company set up a pretty good legal cover for themselves. They didn't count on the GOTV workers outting them. So this will all come down to the credibility and claims of the Reverend and other GOTV workers who were handing out the cash.
They were sly, buy not quite sly enough.
See post 33. There is no need to dismiss those texts. They provide near perfect legal cover for GOTV claims.
No reason to beg off. Those texts are legal cover for GOTV activities.
Thanks for this. Good reminder of how we can observe CR issue yet still share the story.
Looks mighty suspicious to me.
If these black voters would vote illegally for 15 bucks, all it needs is a little cash to get some more whistleblowers
It is suspicious, but it’s a good cover. Of course they were buying votes, but they weren’t stupid enough to send text messages about doing so. Those messages are asking for the names & addresses of everyone that the Reverend had out on the streets passing out money at polling stations. They are the so-called GOTV workers. It’s not illegal to pay them. What’s illegal is having them pay individual voters.
Cochran thinks he’s gonna get away with saying he had no knowledge that his GOTV workers were buying votes. He’s made sure that money is off the books.
I don’t think that’s a good idea. Any statements or accusations such folks made would have been made for payment. That makes their testimony not credible.
