4 Ways Obama Can Reform Immigration By Himself
New Republic ^ | 06/30/2014 ? | Danny Vinik

resident Barack Obama is done waiting. After a year spent hoping that Speaker John Boehner and House Republicans would pass immigration reform—and following a conversation with Boehner confirming that the House would not act this year—Obama on Monday set in motion the machinery for acting on his own. Specifically, he instructed Department of Homeland Security (DHS) chief Jeh Johnson and Attorney General Eric Holder to give him recommendations, by the end of the summer, for executive actions he can take on immigration reform. But what could those actions look like? Here’s a quick rundown:

"And some people thought Obummer would be no worse than Mittster! Ostriches anyone?"

Mittens would have been bad. Probably not as bad as Obama, but bad enough. And then the Republicans would be blamed for implementing the democrats policies, which means Democrats would come back into power, and continue the slide. Obama's evil is more obvious to everyone and that's good. Makes it more likely we can reverse it.

I voted third party, for the Constitution party, but Mittens won TN anyway. And some people thought Obummer would be no worse than Mittster! Ostriches anyone?

The Mass Pardon route is the one he will select—simple, will kick the can down the road—so future Democrats can make them citizens to Vote Democrat and keep the party in power forever. (so they hope) Just wait til a Latino Leader takes over the Democrat Party—a fidel or a Santa Anna.

Mass pardons?
That still doesn’t make them citizens.

It doesn’t even give them “green cards” (Permanent Resident status); Just like with the DACA-people, another administration could have them all deported (if they had the resources - and the will - to do so).

Obama's evil is more obvious to everyone and that's good. Makes it more likely we can reverse it.

That is what many said during Obummer's first term. Guess what he practically doubled food stamp people, welfare and disability numbers zoomed, and you think all these people will now have learned and vote republican next time? You must be smoking some good stuff.

Some wise man said, democracies sink into the abyss when people figure out they can get more free stuff by voting for people who will give them more free stuff. If Hillary is healthy in 2016, she will be very difficult to beat by any republican. Obummer has seen to that by expanding dependents. Romney is a social liberal but not a fiscal dunce like Bush-43 & Obummer. No one can be as successful as him in acquiring wealth without entrepreneur qualities. Obummer and Hillary has zero experience in running anything. Comparing fiscal acumen of a Romney type with Obummer show total lack of real world fiscal matters. My choices in 2012 were Cain & Newt, for many reasons. Romney was at the bottom of my preference list. But I voted for him because I do not relish cutting my ears off to spite my nose.

All I got to say, is the GOP better come up with a candidate better than Romney if they want to win.

They did...Newt in 2012 was a very good prospect. If Santorum drops out, Romney had no chance.
