I did indeed!
Sometimes i just sit and listen rather than fill the thread with smart-alecky remarks.
Then again, sometimes i sit and listen, and DO fill up the thread with smart-alecky remarks!
LOL
One of the big events at the Festival is something I had a hand in. I saw it produced by the Santa Fe Chamber Festival when they took it on the road to Seattle in 1990. It's Igor Stravinsky's complete "A Soldier's Tale", done with a narrator and an actor playing the Devil. It runs about an hour. I had been begging for the Seattle Chamber Music Festival to do the complete version, not the little suite, which is what they traditionally program. I got my wish this year.
I'll be linking to a You Tube version this weekend. It's full of humor and irony, proof that Stravinsky knew how to laugh.
