A pizza delivery driver was severely beaten with a baseball bat while making a delivery Tuesday morning in the former B.W. Cooper housing project, according to the NOPD.
The driver got out of the car in the 1300 block of South Prieur Street around 2 a.m. After asking a man waiting outside if he placed the order, the driver was beaten with a baseball bat. Nothing was taken, which has authorities wondering if the incident was a pizza delivery version of the knockout game.
The victim had to have staples put into his head and Dominos has said it wont deliver to that area for the time being. They said they would re-evaluate if an arrest is made.
Good for Domino’s doing even that much.
They should have had a “no deliveries to the housing projects” rule from day one. I had some friends that worked for Domino’s and there were a few no-go areas within their delivery radius that they simply said “Sorry, we don’t deliver there” when residents ordered pizzas. And no, it wasn’t a black area. It was an area with lots of illegal aliens selling drugs.
NOLA
Trayvon plays knockout on Zimmerman, only Zimmerman don’t get knocked out and defends himself. Obama makes Trayvon a deity, celebrities being the lemmings they are follow suit. Zimmerman is portrayed as a racist and tried for murder. What is the lesson here? All you black yoots: It’s OK- go ahead, knock out those white or white-Hispanics because the President and his minions have given you their blessing...of course while they are protected by armed guards 24/7.
Wow. Do you just make up things with 0 evidence, just to give a bad name to conservatives?
More and more pizza delivery guys hold the pizza with their left hand, and rest the pizza on the handgun in their right hand.
As often as not, if they are called to a bogus delivery and ambushed, they will shoot the ambusher, then just leave.
This makes some interesting sense. If the ambusher is wounded, he is not going to tell who shot him. And if he is killed, there is probably not going to be a whole lot of CSI figuring out who shot him.
Nobody in their right mind goes to a housing project near Martin Luther King Blvd (got to be one nearby) at 2am.
I guess you don’t read the news that often. Yes, everything I wrote is completely made up. Trayvon did not ambush Zimmerman, Obama and his celebrity worshippers did not deify Trayvon, Zimmerman was not portrayed as a racist and not tried for murder, and black youths were not influenced by all that. Yes, I just made it all up!
Best not someone come after me with a baseball bat. I have been through enough pain. Poor guy; just trying to do his job. I hope he will be ok and I hope they do make arrests in this case.
Have you been in a Coma for the last two years?
Washington DC once had a map published showing visitors the areas in which it was dangerous to go.
The map was for visitors going to Washington for Abraham Lincoln’s Inauguration in 1861.
Too bad we can’t print such maps today.
And liberals can’t understand the existance of “foor deserts.”
That should be “FOOD Deserts!”
Where is post #4 factually in error?
I’m not saying you are wrong about the other stuff, but you damn well no T.M. was no doing knowckout game. First of all Zimmerman was following him. Secondly, there would have been no struggle between them if it was knockout game, and that is one of the few things we do no. So stop acting like MSNBC caricature.
To those who hold views such as were expressed by nickcarraway, I suggest looking up the data posted at Legal Insurrection’s site. The Conservative Treehouse also has a good analysis of the demise of “St. Martin of the Purple Drank”, A.K.A. “St. Skittles”.
As an NRA instructor, I’d have to call the unfortunate, but inevitable, shooting a “good shoot”.
Martin was on a path with only one foreseeable end.
What are my views? You don’t even have a clue. I disagree with a lot of how the media handled this. I agree the media mislead people by showing T.M. at a younger age. Zimmerman was not a racist. But I still have a working brain, and there are some thing you are being crazy about. Why don’t you answer a simple question then: You think T.M. was playing the knockout game?
