President Barack Obama defiantly dared congressional Republicans on Tuesday to try to block his efforts to act on his own and bypass a divided Congress that has thwarted his policy initiatives.
President Barack Obama speaks about transportation and the economy, Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at the Georgetown Waterfront Park in Washington. Gridlock in Washington will lead to gridlock across the country if lawmakers cant quickly agree on how to pay for transportation programs, Obama administration officials warn. States will begin to feel the pain of cutbacks within weeks -- peak summer driving time. (AP Photo/Charles Dharapak) "So sue me," he taunted on a sweltering day, as he pushed lawmakers to pay for road and bridge repairs. "I'm not going to apologize for trying to do something."
Obama struck an aggressive tone in the face of a lawsuit threat from House Speaker John Boehner and in the wake of two defeats before the Supreme Court, including a unanimous decision from the court that he overreached when he appointed members of the National Labor Relations Board while the Senate was in recess.

Ding , second time!
Impeachment proceedings begin at 1000.
Done & done.
Pride goeth before a fall.
I will so enjoy seeing him fall.
IMPEACH HOLDER for a START!!!
How do you treat a bad dog that tears up the furniture, craps all over the carpet, bites visitors, and on occasion, jumps over the fence to chase cars?
Several strategies may include, but are not limited to, you might neuter him, or put him on a very short leash in the back yard, or resort to smacking him with a newspaper each time he behaves inappropriately.
But for sure, you separate him from the bad pack he gets out and runs with. Start by impeaching most of his cabinet, and bringing criminal charges against his most immediate assistants, “advisors” and support liaison people who go out front and do his lying for him.
Isolation is often extremely effective. Even if it means Joe Biden has to serve as Acting President.
I will be listening to one of my favorite songs by John Mellencamp.
Crumbling down. . . . . And The walls came tumbling down. . .
I will be grinning like a cat eating briers. . . . . .
Barry. The Andrew Jackson constitutional scholar whose motto is “John Marshall has made his decision now let him enforce it”
We already gave you infrastructure money, Bub. Remember the stimulus? We have immigration laws now that you won’t enforce.
I sense desperation in the content of this bluster, let alone the tone.
I know staunch liberals who don’t like this “I’m going to go it alone” threats and actions. Liberals have always been opposed to executive power, and they’re beginning to see the writing on the wall, IMHO.
Bluster is how Obama compensates for what he must be seeing as embarrassing defeats. The tough talk may be satisfying a personal psychological need, but it’s not benefitting him politically.
ohhhh... poor baby. are they not going along with everything you want?
But Johnny Cougar is a rabid leftist.
I keep thinking “how do we get rid of Obama”? Then it hit me - we don’t need to get rid of Obama - we need to get rid of Jarrett. Obama would deflate like a week-old birthday balloon.
Obama sounds like Gary Hart. And how did that work out?
Exactly!!! This country needs Jarrett out of the White House. How can that be accomplished?
Here's a vindictive, half-educated autodidact with an ax to grind....and the world has met THIS type before. Why the hesitation to deal with it as it should be dealt with?
We didn't get enough blood, discord, hatred and destruction the first time around?
“I sense desperation in the content of this bluster, let alone the tone.”
It is anger; he knows he makes Carter look like Reagan, and that outside of his handlers and sycophants the truth is evident everywhere that his terms have been an economic disaster. “His” people (his father’s people) have fallen even further into poverty, despair, and violence, and his name will forever be attached to this prolonged stagnation (the “blame Bush” nonsense stopped working years ago).
Obama knows that John Boehner is nothing more than a spineless jellyfish and has been nothing more than a go along to get along his entire career.
They are thinking of filing a lawsuit???????????
Why don’t they really do something QUICK like start impeachment proceedings right now before it’s too late.
As a matter of fact, I think it is too late.
If you impeach and/or rescind funding - actions in your power - and then the voters crush you in November - we are doomed as a country having the rule of law and three braches of government.
So, if you have the evidence and see the need now, WHY WAIT?
Voodoo doll? Santaria spell? Maybe ship the illegals to the WH and she’ll get one of their diseases?
the very foundation of law in the USA becomes high stakes midnight basekball
winner take all
Impeachment proceedings are an exercise in futility.
It did not get rid of the rolling disaster that was the Clinton White House, and probably only set the stain as a permanent mark in the fabric.
And the Republicans got burned badly for the effort, a number of really good men got bulldozed aside in the aftermath.
When the Republicans mounted a field of candidates in 2000, they were given a choice from among Dan Quayle, Gary Bauer, Steve Forbes, Orrin Hatch, Alan Keyes, John McCain, and George Bush. Bush became the overwhelming favorite quickly, and only Alan Keyes stayed in contention until July. It was a matter of choosing the “least bad” from among the crowd, and not on any distinguishing virtue. Dr. Keyes was perhaps the most knowledgeable of the entire bunch, but he was given short shrift very early on, and never gained the momentum he should have had based on his ability and accomplishments.
If you shoot at the king, better the hell not miss. But you CAN take out the king’s satraps and food-tasters....
Sounds like Sparky’s about to crack... tick tock tick tock
If Boehner has anything resembling cojones, he publicly states: “ Since this President has shown his utter contempt for the Constitution, Congress and our freedoms, the House will not pass another continuing resolution, nor any budget, nor any debt limit increase, nor any regime-proposed legislation. Any government shutdown is on his head.
When the President stops his present course of action, we can talk.”
If wishes were horses, ......
Obama puts the ‘dick’ in ‘dictator’.
Injunctions..... that’s the ticket.
America needs several injunction factories set up in the antirooms of reliable federal judges to promulgate instant injunctions.
Boner has no spine....either that or he knows whats in the Blackmail box Obama is holding.
I propose a new name for the thief in chief.
How about “Buck” Obama? Has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?
If Boehner had as least half a set, just for saying that, he would respond in kind.
Call the local cops.
Virtually the whole damned Congress is in on his Treason with him.
Not so coincidentally, Andrew Jackson was the first Democrat President.
America took it's first huge lurch away from our Constitutional Republic with him.
He is in the majority. It doesn't stop me from enjoying their music. . . .
Obama vows to go full retard dictator.
He’s really annoyed now! It’s fun to see that. Wonder if the media will run a special on how the big guy has lost it.
He knows his time will be just about up by the time any Boehner lawsuit makes it to SCOTUS.
Odumbo’s time has been “up” for a long time but he hasn’t been notified just yet.
Why does Congress not cut off ALL funding to the odumbo’s, his policies and actions? If he doesn’t have the funding, he’s frozen in his tracks which we all know is LONG OVERDUE!
Now THAT is funny! Hell will freeze over before Boehner sues Obozo.
Agree. Jackson was the first true “populist” president-—and that’s not good. Think “Occupy Wall Street,” for that’s what happened. Like Obama, Jackson abandoned all civility and respect for the office, his followers trashing the White House in a drunken frenzy, so much so that Jackson had to leave his own inauguration party and go eat alone in a nearby inn. His followers within a few years did really bright things like banning all banks in some states, forcing the Cherokee out of Georgia, and enforcing the disastrous “Tariff of Abominations.”
Quit feeding the dog until he's too weak to make trouble.
The House has the means to do the above but not the will under Boehner's leadership.
Help me out Freepers.
I recall a story of President Kennedy when ask why he always combed his hair before exiting AF1.
His reply was “It’s not John Kennedy leaving the plane it’s the President of the United States”
Different mind set.
“So sue me,”
How incredibly childish is this from the leader of the free world.
Boehner is too weak in his leadership skills to do what he needs to do - get his whip to get the votes to defund those public entities which Obama uses as political weapons against the public - Homeland Security, INS, EPA, IRS and NLRB to name a few. . .
Boehner is the worst possible SOTH to have at this time in history.
the Articles of Impeachment are long past due to come to the floor for a vote - send them to the Senate and let them defend the lawless Chief Executive
Work from the periphery in. Remove support systems needed.
And, yes, removing Valjar incapacitates him.
With respect, that silly lawsuit wouldn't even make it past the federal court in DC - they'd say - "What's this?" - "you've got defunding and impeachment tools! USE THEM YOU GUTLESS LITTLE PIP!!!
This guy is really close to losing it. He’s playing chicken with the American people. Who knows, if he goes too far, we could have a coup or someone might put him in a straight jacket and send him on a long vacation at a mental institution.
Clown Prince nobama is getting touchy, no? Keep ridiculing this anti-Free-American fool. It would be entertaining to see his complete mental collapse: First “black” president to sob and shake in the corner at a press conference. The clown is a fool.
