Local Sheriff probably not because its a Federal facility, i.e. Military base.

But that orange Oompa-Loompa idiot Speaker of the House certainly could.

But he won’t. they are running out the clock, 28? days now until recess before the elections.

I hate the GOP!

He should have forced the issue.

I bet he could get a search warrant in about 12 seconds flat.

Yet Nancy Pelosi was allowed to visit them. The Feds are now picking and choosing which of our representatives can do what, under rules they are making up as they go along. It’s like we’re living in Cuba or something.

The Congressman needs to go back to D.C. and start a bill to defund HHS and a formal investigation of all activity's on these military posts. If this is on a military base defund the military by 10% a month tell someone has a come to Jesus moment. The only problem is Congress has NO BALLS and we all know how to spell that. P U S S Y !

This is really sick. Trying to hide this disaster is immoral. This is going to cause a lot of havoc for citizens in so many ways.

True mercenaries loyal to the Empire’s Emperor only. If you see someone who works for IRS, HHS, DHS, ATF, et al, they are your natural enemies.

They're the modern equivalent of Rome's Praetorian Guard whose loyalty was to the Emperor alone. The modern Federal bureaucracy is a self-sustaining malignant growth on the body politic. It's bound together by public employee unions that use their tremendous financial muscle to elect politicians who'll give them more and more money and power. We have created a monster that now rules us.

Our career civilian government workforce is supposed to be apolitical, immune from the petty politics of extant administrations. However, the Democrats have covertly worked for generations to plant ideologues in this force. The State Department being the number one beneficiary.

Our ENTIRE government workforce is INFESTED with political operatives who work in one of three ways. 1)racial motivation, 2) political vehemence for right leaning people and organizations, and 3) actively solicit and receive direction from the Administration. They are all saboteurs.

As a Navy pilot, I have been involved in operations countering illicit human trafficking.

In my training, it is the law that a federal employee can be prosecuted for NOT reporting any suspected human trafficking.

Better yet come back with 3-4 additional congressmen and the sheriff.

If Congress had any stones which they don’t they would immedialtely cut off funding for HHS until they comply. No more paychecks.

Show up with police in tow and a camera crew. You will get in.

Here is an opportunity for action. Will the Congressman take advantage? He should announce a return visit - forget appointments - on a date certain, how about tomorrow.

Invite his constituents to accompany him so he can give them a full report on site as soon as he inspects.

If this was happening in my district and my guy stood up like that - I would be right there.

I thought the law was that it was illegal to stop or prevent a sitting congressman or senator from performing their constitutional functions including traveling to or from D.C.

This was adopted so that if a congressman or senator was traveling through a different state or jurisdiction they couldn’t be arrested or detained as an attempt to keep them from voting on the floor of the House or the Senate. I would think this falls under that category.

You are correct. And if he doesn’t take this opportunity than it will seem that he is being controlled and/or threatened.

The Bureaucracy is the unelected Fourth Branch of government ... arguably the most powerful (especially considering the timidity of Congressional leaders).

Does anyone in DC truly understand the level of revulsion that exists out here? First one that actually DOES something is going to be a hero. It’s there for the taking.

Movements ignite by action. We have talked this stuff to death.

There might be a handful that do. But they might be afraid because of what is being done to Ted Cruz. It’s not an excuse. They are all nothing but bunch of frickin weasels!

Congresscritter should have responded:

“I don’t want or need your approval, as you have no authority over me.”

“Now, get out of my way.”
