When the neighbor's dog was killed by artillery fire, it was time to go.
Oksana Vasilieva was in the kitchen of her home on Comintern Street in the Ukrainian city of Slovyansk in late May as the shelling of her neighborhood began. She screamed for the children to run outside and then herded them into the cellar.
When they emerged, the neighbors' house had been hit. So had their sandy-brown dog, its dead body mangled in the remnants of a destroyed metal fence. She boarded an evacuation bus and fled to Russia.
"I'm not going to return," Ms. Vasilieva, 36 years old, said outside the one-room bunk she has been sharing with her mother and daughter in a refugee facility at a summer camp on the Azov Sea. "It's a dead city."

As a conservative I believe we have not only a domestic mess but also we are erring greatly abroad.
When Russia is encouraging Communists and pro-Russians to overthrow the Kiev government, Kiev has all right to stop them.
There was a legitimate govt an elected govt that was overthrown via force and this then installed. Then those upset at the coup were denounced for resistance and now their old ladys homes are being shelled dogs killed children put to flight.
Or would BLM be correct to shell the homes of the ranchers here ?
Poroshenko is doing no such thing. There is no “cleansing” going on any more so than in the US. It is Russian propoganda meant to further destabilize the Ukranian government and their citizens who have rejected the communism and control of Russia.
The Wall Street Journal is now Russian propaganda ?

the WSJ didn’t claim Poroshenko was “cleansing” the Ukraine of ethnic Russians. The poster you responded to did.
No it just said he was shelling their houses and making them run for their lives.
Whats the difference ?
They wanted to be Russian so bad, now they have their chance.
So shelling vilagers holding wrong political views is ok with you ?
When I was young and boyscouts were popular we didnt blow up the homes of people we disagreed with. In those days that was done by commies and despots. Have we fallen so far we now view this as ok ?
Maybe the Russian terrorists should have thought about the consequences before they started a war.

What they need over there are some Peacekeepers. And they might get some soon. Just not the ones most want. Russian ones.
General Sherman shelled Atlanta and won the war. The Russkie terrorists are as foolish as the Confederate terrorists who plunged the USA into war and they will meet the same fate.
