Why did it take 50, 40 and 30 years for the 4 alleged victims to come forward with their claims?

He is to be sentenced tomorrow...the fallout from the Jimmy Saville sex abuse scandal has been tremendous with many prominent entertainment people caught in the dragnet.

My parents bought the 45rpm record for me and I played it all the time as a child.

In criminal law, “assault” can mean simply threatening someone in such a way that they fear violence. That doesn’t necessarily have to be “indecent”: could just be adults who are mad at each other.

No, I'm not a Aussie nor a former Aussie.

The story is stupid. I did a third grade project on Australia and have always had a soft spot for all things Oz.

I'm the person who started the Anzac day thread on FR, and I've hiked a thousand miles in an Akubra hat.

In international Scouting, you trade uniform parts instead of patches. My standard Scouting windbreaker/raincoat is from New South Wales contingent to a PanAsian jamboree; my standard Scouting fleece is a 2007 World Scout Jamboree issue from Australia.

Some of the more interesting... OK, bizarre, shows were the "Unreleased Tapes" shows where he featured a show of nothing but people that have sent their demo tapes in and they would make the air.

Somewhere buried away I still have a bunch of Demento Society swag, and Close Personal Friends Of Al [Yankovich] newsprint fanclub newsletters.
