RICK PERRY: FLOW OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS 'NOT GOING TO STOP'
Breitbart ^ | July 3, 2014 | by KRISTIN TATE

Posted on 07/03/2014 4:38:44 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

HOUSTON, Texas--On Thursday Texas Governor Rick Perry spoke at a House Homeland Security Committee field hearing near the Texas-Mexico border, where lawmakers discussed the thousands of illegal immigrants entering the country each day. Perry wasted no time stressing that the migrants--many of whom are minors--must be sent back to their home countries as soon as possible.

"Nobody is doing any of these children the slightest favor by delaying a rapid return to their countries of origin, which in many cases is not Mexico," the governor said. "Allowing them to remain here will only encourage the next group of individuals to undertake the same life-threatening journey. Those who have come must be sent back to demonstrate, in no uncertain terms, that risking their lives to cross Mexico and enter our country simply isn’t worth it."

He mentioned that because Border Patrol agents are stuck taking care of the children in facilities, there are less agents actively patrolling the border. Because of this, Perry said "the border between the U.S. and Mexico is less secure today than anytime in the recent pass."

He continued, "We’re also in danger at the hands of those who might be slipping through from countries with known terrorist ties. With a range of potential threats facing us from abroad, this is not the time to turn our attention elsewhere. ... Secure this border, Mr. President. Finally address this issue, put an adequate number of Border Patrol agents on the ground permanently."

In Perry's view, if action is not taken soon "the flow [of illegal immigrants] is not going to stop."

Petition governor Perry to call out the militia! Sovereignty and liberty at stake!!

Unfortunately, I believe Perry truly doesn't see this invasion as dangerous.

I think his we have no heart comment during the GOP debates reveals his true nature.

If some Governor could act strongly and deploy the NG and militia to seal their border they would instantly become a major historical figure.

The very survival of our Republic warrants the return of these criminals illegals and 10s of millions of others.

Looks like he’s going to need to feel a little gentle persuasion on his backside to actually git ‘er done.

I can’t see him debating anyone. He seems to be a nice man, and even a good man, but he would not be our best prospect for president.

cut off the benefits, including the ones Perry signed into law... and do it as “heartlessly” as possible.

Great point. Perry himself is responsible for ILLEGALs benefiting from their presence here.

So, you’re doing nothing?

I'm not an elected official though. Believe me, if I was, I'd simply had done something rather than beg King Obama to do it for me.

I keep hearing that the Governor of Texas has very little power and that mostly, they just supervise the executions. I don’t know if it’s true, but I’ve heard that the lieutenant governor has more real power than the governor in Texas.

Why haven’t these governors gotten together and shipped them to NYC or the Hamptons or Beverly Hills or San Francisco or DC?

Perry admits it’s not going to stop, but does nothing about it.
Buck up Perry and defend your great state.

Can’t governors send the national guard?

Exactly. Those who think “reconquista” stops at the northern edge of the American Southwest are deluding themselves.

Rick Perry: Obama wants the border patrol to be babysitters to the illegal kids. Call out the Texas National Guard and tell them to shoot at the illegals.

These kids are being moved around by and protected by Homeland Security “guards”. What’s the National Guard supposed to do??? Go up against “Armed” Homeland Security Forces??

So it begs the question: what is Rick Perry going to do about it other than stare off into the distance? Asking dear leader to do something about it is like going to the crips and asking them to stop being thugs.

Texas Governor Perry has the authority to call forth the state military forces and the reserve militia to repel the invasion.

Tex. Gov. Code Sec. 431.071
http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/Docs/GV/htm/GV.431.htm#431.071

Tex. Gov. Code Sec. 431.001
http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/Docs/GV/htm/GV.431.htm#431.001

Tex. Const. art. 4, § 7
http://www.statutes.legis.state.tx.us/Docs/CN/htm/CN.4.htm#4.7

U.S. Const. art. IV, § 4 mandates the Federal government protect states against Invasion. The Federal government has not performed, States have legal recourse.

There is no reason for Perry to stand by idly when the law supports Texas %100 and the Federals violate law.

Inaction is complicity!

The system is set up that by rejecting a people, no matter what the grounds, those who reject will be made to appear heartless. I say turn the tables.

I see 2000 children at the border who have been “given up” by their parents. They should now be classified as orphaned. Eligible for adoption...by God-fearing conservative families. What an opportunity we have to adoptive future souls for the kingdom, raise them in the fear and admonition of the Lord, train them to be hard working responsible citizens, assimilate them into Americans, and future conservative voting patriots.

The liberals are doing this because they see future voters, and thus a chance to turn red states blue. I say the adoption of these kids into conservative homes would stop the flow very quickly. Just a thought.
