Ive never had many charitable things to say about John Kerry, but now its worse; I feel sorry for him.
Kerry certainly isnt an evil fellow, merely a run-of-the-mill narcissistic opportunist who has risen to the top of the political heap. I admire his service in Vietnam; many children of privilege did someone mention George W. Bush? found ways to avoid the war. If he had any stellar accomplishments during his 28 years in the Senate, they are not etched in my memory. He proved to be an inept presidential candidate in 2004.
But now, the spin goes, he is serving in his dream job, secretary of state. Kerrys father was a Foreign Service officer, and one of his sons first trips as secretary included a sentimental journey to Berlin, where his father worked in the US Embassy.
Shortly thereafter, Kerry uncorked perhaps the boldest diplomatic initiative of the Obama administration: a full-on restart of the moribund Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations. (One thinks of his predecessors ill-fated re-set of US-Russian relations.) In July 2013, Kerry announced his ambitious objective to achieve a final status agreement over the course of the next nine months.
His praiseworthy goal was to see two states living side by side in peace and security. That didnt work out. In the wake of this weeks discovery of the bodies of three slain Israeli teenagers, peace negotiations seem like a distant memory.
In September of 2013, Kerry offhandedly suggested that Syrian president BasharAssad could avoid military intervention in his countrys civil war if he would turn over every single bit of his chemical weapons to the international community. Kerry added: It cant be done, obviously.(continued)

I guess George W. Bush will be the only person to ever be thought of as a draft dodger, for becoming a fighter pilot in the Air National Guard.
Has Kerry paid his taxes on his yacht yet?
Or is it still moored in Rhode Island?
Alex, Is it possible that John is in over his head? Could it be that so much of his career is like his military heroism? Fraud?
Just a gigolo, everywhere he goes.
Kerry was in Vietnam? I wonder why he never mentioned it when he was running for president?
“his service in Vietnam”
That’s right. He did serve in Vietnam, didn’t he.
With Jenghis Khan?
They pillaged a village
and killed everyone,
Just like Attila the Hun.
Do you think Attila’s wives called him ‘Hun’?
Does my wife call me “the American” or “the Caucasian?”
I’ll bite ... “round-eyed devil”?
you should keep in mind that the paper this guy writes for, the boston globe, published a pol result the Friday before the election between brown and coakley, showing coakley up by 16. they will commit fraud and lie to influence an election.
his words aren’t even worth the paper they were printed on.
Kerry will probably negotiate that the evil people only get to kill 2 million or so like in Vietnam where he clearly sided with the evil communists. The evil mass murdering Islamists sure seem to be killing innocents without consequence.
Gosh, I wonder why they did not feel a need to BJ clintoon as an example, I guess because he wasn’t from a well off family. And the only reason kerryann volunteered for the boats was because he thought he would just be running supplies back and forth and you know what he did when reality hit.
Kerry will probably negotiate that the evil people only get to kill 2 million or so like in Vietnam where he clearly sided with the evil communists.
Kerry isn’t in the position to negotiate anything. They’ll kill as many as they can.
4 1/2 months in Vietnam and a manufactured war record—UNFIT FOR COMMAND.
Yahbut’, wasn’t he in Vietnam?
Tangentially related: The Boston Herald is the needle in the Globe’s side. From the Herald comes Howie Carr, who has a column and a great 3 hour conservative radio show mostly in Boston. It’s very smart ... but also, because it’s Boston - equal in corruption to Chicago, with it’s own Obama in Patrick (”Yes We Can!” = “Hope and Change!”) - it can be very funny as well as smart - because Boston is an evil joke, whereas Chicago is just evil.
Howie subbed for Levin Yesterday. He was nervous (he’s sarcastic, but actually a very humble, good man.)
If you want a chance to listen to Howie doing a national show... Just go to Levin’s site and stream I think the Thursday Show.
Having painted for 4 years to pay for college in the late 80’s and early 90’s ... when the radio is all that gets you through the hot afternoons ... Howie was as responsible for fundamentally educating me as much or more than Rush, mostly because Boston (especially Cambridge) and its pseudo education institutions (other than MIT) and completely-psuedo intellectualism provide a perfect case study in the historical mess (and tragedy) which is man’s attempts at controlling (enslaving) the lives of other men.
As I said ... tangentially related. Always fun to read the complete gibberish coming out of the Globe, especially those that pass as editorial/opinion writers. What a group of fools.
Whaaaa? I mean John Kerry speaks French! He’s rich and refined! He ran for President for cripes sake. Nobody on the world front takes him seriously? What this world has come to.
