The Only Job Ex-Journalist Jay Carney Can Get is at MSNBC
Frontpage Mag ^ | 07/05/2014 | Daniel Greenfield

Jay Carney used to be the Washington Bureau Chief for Newsweek. He worked for Time reporting on Moscow. And if these reports are correct, then after spending years flacking for Obama, the only gig this former “journalists” could get was at MSNBC.

How pathetic and predictable.

Sources inside MSNBC say former White House Spokesman Jay Carney, who recently resigned from his post at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, will likely be headed to MSNBC.

Carney is in talks for a contributor position.

If it happens, Carney would follow in the natural footsteps of a few other aides to President Obama who were welcomed into the MSNBC family upon leaving their jobs. The last White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, became an MSNBC contributor in May, 2013, while David Axelrod, a top aide to Obama, became one in February 2013.

Except those people weren’t career journalists. Carney was.

I hate to sound like non believer BUT;
The Democrats go to MSNBC and the Repubicrats go to Fox. Not really that big a difference. Like our political parties, just different sides of the same coin.

When he would show up on TV speaking for obozo I actually felt sorry for the pathetic little creep. His depressions appeared very obvious.

Worthless P.O.S. working at a worthless propaganda source.
This pathetic butthead says the sun’s shining and comes up in the east I’d check it before believing it.
Course he isn’t going to bring too many to view his lies at this “network”.

I suggest Jon Lovitz or maybe Joe Isuzu...

I gotta go with Lovitz, wearing the springing eyeballs.

Carney always reminded me of Chip Diller, the sneaky little Omega frat boy played by Kevin Bacon in “Animal House.” (REMAIN CALM!!! ALL IS WELL!!! ALL IS WELL!!!)

Carney can redeem himself if he writes that book and spills what he knows about obuzzo to the world. We need a good truthtelling about the scum in the white hut. That would freak out valjar and obuzzo.

“The Carney and Sharpton Show..now there’s an inspiring concept,”

Add Chris Hayes to the mix and you’ve got a trio that would give The Stooges a run for their money.

The odds of that happening are about as good as Hillary turning a thousand bucks into 100 thousand bucks in ten months of cattle futures trading.

This is kind of ridiculous.

Cable news and the internet, particularly free web advertising, have killed newspapers and magazines, which struggle now for subscribers and ads.

Print publications are much too expensive to produce, especially given shrinking ad dollars. Even this “Frontpage Mag” running the silly Carney story is internet-based.

So for Carney to go back to a job in print was highly unlikely, no matter who he worked for or how absurd he had to be day to day in defending a corrupt administration. The medium has changed, regardless of his message.

MSNBC is a good gig for him. Fits him well.

JMO, but why wouldn’t TIME re-hire him? If you say it’s “because Carney proved to be a leftist tool with no shame,” that sounds like a plus at TIME after about 1980.

TIME still PRETENDS to be centrist. They should just come clean about their bias, like Newsweek. (Does US Snooze still exist, by the way?)
