Since Republicans in Congress refuse to do their job and allow a vote on comprehensive immigration reform this year, Obama, on behalf of the American people, is acting on his own to address this important issue -- for the well-being of our country, our economy and the immigrant community that has contributed so much to our economic growth and prosperity and is suffering greatly from a badly broken system.

Let's not let this "ancient, outdated document", called The CONSTITUTION stand in the way...
Pure horse manure. It is Obama, the liar, who has done nothing.
Only if one considers it the job of Congress to rubberstamp whatever the tyrant wants.
Congress is acting by not changing the law. Until such time as the law is changed Obama is required by the Constitution and his oath of office to enforce the law as it now stands.
There it is!It was Only a Matter of Time before Obongo and His Gang Blamed The Republicans for creating this MESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This was as Predictable as the SUNRISE!!!
I just read where Dick Durbin is rejecting the illegals coming to Chicago.
Tell me one thing that will be “fixed” or “reformed” when they have their amnesty.
We all always have choices. “The Republicans made the president do it”is the penultimate victim mentality.
Uh, Obama chose to ignore existing immigration laws. He would no doubt do the same with any new legislation. What, then, is the point?
Yeah somehow he’s acting for the American people by bringing in millions of foreigners. Right.
Liberals are evil. Always were.
There fixed it --
We don’t do Kon-sty-two-shun here. It’s racist, sexist and homophobic.
Besides we have a greater good.
Now shut your bigoted faces and go pay your taxes. These people coming over the border in violation of your laws need the money. :)
The GOP is only doing what the majority of American citizen want. CNN is as far out of touch as the President is...
Does anyone really watch CNN anymore?
Funny, the law still says it is against the law to be here illegally, and the oath of office for President STILL says to faithfully execute the laws.
So NO, CNN, Zero doesn’t HAVE to do anything but UPHOLD THE LAWS ALREADY IN EXISTENCE.
“While at [Dewey Square Group], Cardona served as a Senior Advisor to the Hillary Clinton for President Campaign, serving as a campaign surrogate and spokesperson and representing the campaign on major national TV, radio as well as Spanish language television news and political programs.”
No bias here folks, move along.
The author is a Clinton shill.
“Obama, on behalf of the American people”
No, that should read, “Obama, on behalf of the Democrat Party”.
How dare this lying sack of filthy garbage speak for America! The polls show otherwise.
Obama and the Dims could have agreed to vote on individual true immigration reforms WITHOUT amnesty and they chose not to. That was their choice and by that choice it was their choice to not get any immigration reform.
Reagan started this. The immigration system is “broken” only because Bush and Obama have refused to enforce it.
Enforcement with severe e-verify fines would send illegals back to the homes they still have.
OdumBO’s resignation was an option.
Ah ha! Is the Communist News Network saying Obama is behind the `surge’ of illegal central American young people?
If the WH admits it, well, that’s a `high crime’ and that’s an impeachable offense.
Because the Cowboys held the Patriots to 9 yards, Brady had no choice but to play a 5th down.
Because one side uses all the legal tools at their disposal, that allows the other side to break the law to get what they want?
Geez, Maria - the Sunni punk could have just voted “Present” on the immigration issue, like he does on everything else...
The unwise Latina is not even from America. She's from Bogota, Columbia.
Fock the Detroit DemocRats and their media shills.
Maria Cardona, former advisor to the Hillary Clinton campaign. I’m not interested in your opinion on anything, dear.
Maria Cardona (born November 12, 1966) is a Principal at the Dewey Square Group (DSG) leading the Public Affairs Practice, and founder of Latinovations. Cardona is a Democratic strategist and CNN/CNN en Español political contributor where she provides political analysis on US domestic issues.
Cardona currently lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband Bryan Weaver, a long-time community activist,
Cardona spent five years at the United States Department of Commerce, first as Deputy Press Secretary to Secretary Ronald H. Brown and in charge of the press offices of all the 14 agencies.
From 1998 to 2001, Cardona was the Director of Communications for the United States Department of Justice’s Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), acting as the Clinton Administration’s top spokesperson on the complex issues surrounding immigration, including the Elián González affair.
From 2001 to 2003, she served as Communications Director of the Democratic National Committee, where she helped coordinate the national Democratic message for the party officials, elected leaders, candidates and state Democratic Party committees.
While at DSG, Cardona served as a Senior Advisor to the Hillary Clinton for President Campaign, serving as a campaign surrogate and spokesperson and representing the campaign on major national TV, radio as well as Spanish language television news and political programs.
Cardona also served on Senator Clintons formidable Hispanic outreach team, helping to ensure that the candidates message reached Latinos throughout the country.
Following the primary, Cardona served as a key surrogate for the Obama for America general election campaign, appearing on all the major national news shows.
Obama, who REFUSES to ENFORCE our present laws on immigration; now promises to enforce NEW laws on immigration.
Who is going to FORCE him to perform his Oath of Office?
This old bus sits in front of The Broken Spoke in Austin, TX, which is a country and western dance hall down in South Austin. It was built in 1964 and seems like it has been around even longer than that. I am not sure about the history of this old bus, but I am certain it has its share of miles. The Broken Spoke is an icon of sorts around here, and has been rated one of the best dance halls in Texas (and I am sure there are many to choose from).
