D’Souza, Michael Eric Dyson Clash over MLK: Shouldn’t Be ‘Demonized’ for Questioning U.S.(VIDEO)

Filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, who recently pled guilty to a campaign finance charge, appeared on This Week with George Stephanopoulos to discuss his new film, and claimed that reform movements in America, in which he included Martin Luther King Jr., were conservative efforts that harkened back to the nation’s founding.

Dyson didn’t disagree that King was connected to the “larger American compact,” but argued that D’Souza was being selective and disingenuous in claiming MLK for conservatives, especially given the conservative movement’s resistance to King and his followers.

“It’s not progressives that has made that claim but people on the right,” he said. “Those who are critics of America don’t hate the nation, they love the nation. They want to love it into a better future. Martin Luther King Jr. said before he was murdered, ‘America, be true to what you said on paper.’ If the litmus test of authentic patriotism is the commitment to an ideal and a goal that furthers the conversation about all people participating equally, then that’s the kind of conversation we have. He shouldn’t be demonized, nor should those who are successors to him be demonized for their questioning.”

D’Souza also quickly unspooled his theory linking Hillary Clinton to Barack Obama via Saul Alinsky. “We’re not inventing a connection between them,” he said. “The connection is well documented.”

“In terms of his impact on Obama and Hillary Clinton, I’m sure the Alinskyites would say it’s barely discernible now in their political lives,” Dyson countered.

Filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza, who recently pled guilty to a campaign finance charge...

The author of the article, by opening with the trumped-up campaign finance charge is telling us: "You should discount anything that D'Souza has to say."

I wonder if the same author would start an article “Bill Clinton, who was impeached and disbarred for lying under oath”...

Affirmative action judges people by their race and not their character. Affirmative action is a liberal policy.

D’Souza is a giant... taking it to them...
In their face with good arguments..

Problem is “they” could care less about facts.. require “feelings”..
Infantile personal feelings NOT generally acceptable feelings..

They DO NOT adjust their feelings to the facts.....
They adjust the facts to their feelings..

They never grew up.. they are juveniles..

I think Dyson is right on this. Martin Luther King, Jr., was an associate of Communist; e.g., Hunter (Pitts) O'Dell; a plagiarist; and quite sexually immoral for a man of the cloth.

Instead of working through the legal system, Martin (Michael) Luther Kingjr., went on harassing sit ins; etc. Ronald Reagan said the 1964 Civil Rights act was bad legislation and with that acts attack on private property, he was right.

Martin Luther King was more a Socialist type than someone representing America.

Dyson rattles off grammatically incorrect sentences as unintelligible as Sharpton’s or Jackson’s. The Left can’t make a factual case on any issue, so they obfuscate with gibberish that consumes the time and oxygen in every debate.

Whomever the woman moderator is, she gives each side a chance to make their points.

Amazing video for that alone.

Even Bill O’Reilly wasn’t doing that when I last watched him 4 or 5 years ago.
