How do we prevent Obama from resigning?
July 6, 2014 | Me

Posted on 07/06/2014 12:56:19 PM PDT by Sen Jack S. Fogbound

If Obama should resign, all his activities and "accomplishments" will remain in effect!

If he is impeached and convicted, all his Executive Orders, signatures on passed laws, become NULL and VOID thus setting the stage back to January 20, 2009 before he took that oath (that's debatable)

If we impeach him now, Harry Reid will trash it in the Senate thus preventing the trial and conviction.

So the question is this: How do we keep him from resigning before the Republicans can take over the Senate?

"Only legislation—primarily the ACA—will remain."

Pearls Before Swine, do you know why the Founding States made the federal Constitution, particularly the significance of healthcare not being included in Congress's Article I, Section 8-limited powers?

On second thought, ignore that question. The following excerpts from Supreme Court case opinions indicate that, regardless what activist justices want everbody to think about the constitutionality of federal Obamacare Democratcare, the states have never delegated to Congress, via the Constitution, the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for intrastate healthcare purposes.

And regardless that Democrats and RINOs will argue that since the Constitution doesn't say that Congress cannot establish a national healthcare program, then they can do it. But the Supreme Court has also addressed that kind of foolish thinking concerning the federal government's constitutionally delegated powers.

”From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added].” —United States v. Butler, 1936.

Also, if you want, Judge Andrew Napolitano will read Section 8 to you; video is a little over 3 minutes. Judge Napolitano will then emphasize what the Supreme Court excerpts indicate, that the states have never delegated to the feds, via the Constitution, the specific power to officially address intrastate healthcare issues.

Judge Napolitano & the Constitution

The bottom line is that there's a lot of criminal activity going on in the constitutionally limited power federal government imo. Voters need to wake up and do something about it.

"Makes no sense."

Ezackly.

He posts an idiotic vanity, then vanishes. Won't respond to any questions, gotta wonder what his motives are, 'cuz it's real early in the day to be drinking that heavily.

The prospect of Obama resigning the Presidency bothers me about as much as the possibility of my house here in Southeast Texas being buried under a 200' snowdrift in August.

You could worry about such things, but there's absolutely no point in it.

Your scenario is highly unlikely.
It takes weeks, if not months to draw up and pass a Bill of Impeachment.
For the Clinton Impeachment, the House Judiciary Committee eventually came up with four Articles of Impeachment but two were voted down, even in a Republican-controlled House.
An article charging Clinton with perjury in the civil sexual harassment suit brought against him was defeated by a vote of 229-205; and another article charging him with abuse of office by false responses to the House Judiciary Committee’s written request for factual admissions was defeated by a vote of 285-148.
Obama could easily resign in order to be pardoned by Biden while a Bill of Impeachment is being drawn up in the House. President Nixon waited until he knew the actual count of votes for removal from office in the Senate Judiciary Committee (the vote was 27-11 guilty).
How long does it take to submit a Letter of Resignation and to have a swearing in ceremony? Five minutes?

Prevent hell!

I'll furnish the damn pen for him to sign the letter of resignation with.

I'll type it up for him!

He can use my back as his desk upon which to sign it!

Every one of his EO's can be reversed.

Once he is gone, the idiots he put in place in various agencies would be fired!

No...I'll not prevent him from resigning...I'll beg him to do so.

Even in the case of a dead girl or live boy, the senate will not muster 67 votes to convict.

What in the world are you talking about? Are you saying Evanglicals are bad? How about we simply take your metaphor and make you BOTH Jim Baker and Reverend Leroy? What if I simply believe you are a disgusting person because of your beliefs and actions?

I think you owe all of FR an explanation for your metaphor.

I don't think impeachment has any effect on his previous actions.

If I were President, very first line of my inaugural speech would be to revoke EVERY executive order, unilateral action, appointment, treaty etc. approved by 0bama.

The second would be to order the military to immediately secure the border by whatever means necessary.

The third would be to appoint a special investigator to determine if 0bama legally held the office, and if not then ALL actions would be declared NULL and VOID.

Don’t get your panties in a bunch. The successful president has to preach if he’s a Democrat. That’s the only way they can get away with their lies. Truth tellers?” Gore, Kerry, -i rest my case.

I don’t think so- Obama has nothing to lose by doing anything and everything he wants in his years remaining. He’s already started the illegal immigration surge- facing off with pissed off Americans- which just might lead to a show down with the Feds.

All they really need to do is show that he fraudulently obtained the office...

Then EVERYTHING including Obamacare would be nullified.

The evidence to prove this is overwhelming and public!.

The balls on our congressmen are microscopic.

This is what I want to hear our newly elected CONSERVATIVE President say at the swearing in.

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. By executive order I hereby void ALL executive orders by my predecessor effective immediately and ALL military leaders placed in position during the previous administration are hereby retired effective immediately and replaced from a previously screened list of conservative military leaders. The same goes for all State Department Heads. Effective immediately all free citizens are allowed to buy and carry openly the firearms they deem necessary to protect themselves and their families, without any restriction. Effective immediately anyone caught illegally in this country will be placed in the custody Sheriff Arpaio, the first sheriff of the new office of Sheriff of the United State, to do with as he wants. Beginning today all institutions of learning will be closely monitored to ensure only fact based history and current events will be discussed and any teacher or professor who let’s their own bias enter into the curriculum will be terminated immediately. Finally, any member of the press who is determined by my office to be anything less than totally unbiased will be placed in prison for life...GOD BLESS THE USA.”

I’m not suggesting he won’t continue his depraved agenda; I’m only saying his term will complete without interruption.

Don’t be surprised if the Admin’s Leftwing agenda quiets down in order to facilitate its continuance in 2017.

>> face-off...

I’m surprised by the lack of resistance to the Leftism within the rank and file govt LEOs.
