MISSION, Texas (AP) Deputy Rudy Trevino was patrolling a park along the Texas-Mexico border when he spied movement in the darkness. Swinging his spotlight toward the motion revealed 14 women and children who had just sneaked across the Rio Grande in a small boat The youngest, a 14-month-old boy from Guatemala, lay quietly in a baby carrier hung from his mother's chest. The oldest, a 38-year-old woman from El Salvador, cried with her head in her hands, her 7-year-old daughter leaning against her.
In minutes, they were loaded into a Border Patrol van and whisked away a typical encounter here in the 5-mile slice of deep South Texas that has become the epicenter of the recent surge in illegal immigration.
An Associated Press reporter recently spent several days observing the human drama that unfolds daily across this arid landscape that bristles with cameras, lookout towers and heavily armed patrols.

Why weren't they put back on the boat and sent back to Mexico?
Folks if the cops and the gØvt won't do it the people are going to have to.
Cry me a river...The pity party angle is played through...No one I know is falling for the “drama” anymore...
The time for playing games is over...
I suspect it would be prudent to inform your political chain of command of this “realistic” expectation...
by their obfuscation, they are complicit in the continuation of this “real” tragedy...And more people are going to get hurt or killed if “real” SIGNIFICANT, TANGIBLE and VISIBLE action is not undertaken to stop this wave...
For all intents and purposes, it may be too late for a lot of people, but then again, the gun pointed to their heads is actually on our side of the border, not over there so much...
I suspect already some people would argue that last point I made, but there is a lot more going on than just what you see and hear from a lot of media sources out there these days...
They go right on welfare, food stamps and overwhelm social services.
Right into the new school year with all their health afflictions exposing other students and teachers with those ills...
I see another clear and present danger, that is tangible to our lives, liberty and pursuit of happiness...
That last statement sure does fit into the narrative these days...
I was looking at the FBIs ten most wanted list a few days ago, and what struck me was 5 of those 10 seemed to be illegals, 6 if you count this one Russian who they suspect fled back to Russia.. Murder and then they scoot back to Mexico or Honduras or whatever country they came from.

Louis Gohmert?
Rick Perry?
CONgre$$
etc., etc.
Rolling the republic ALERT!
I would surmise that the actual list is not som much what they listed there, but the top 5 right now that would fit nicely into that rogues gallery would be: Obama, Holder, Jarrett, Lerner, and that “whatshisname” IRS commissioner...
But all this is a sideline issue...We have bigger ducks flying in...
“Invasion without Representation”...
Catchy, but they are certainly being Rep’d by the very government agencies whose job is to prevent this invasion...
Ironic wouldn’t you say???
Ironic wouldnt you say???
You're right, stevie. I agree. I had that same thought after I posted and was headed off to work this morning.
They're being "represented". Us not so much.
In fact the last time I felt I had representation on a broad range of issues was Reagan, and he was unable to do ANYTHING about 'government being the problem'.
It's been a steady downhill slide for a long time, only momentum (downhill) seems to be picking up lately.
