Don't have cable, so was surprised that McCain criticized this administration's decision to withdraw from Iraq. McCain said Iraq was willing to sign the agreement to keep troops in country but the administration never set a number. McCain said that the 2 Stan's terrorists are a greater threat to the US.

Anyone surprised at taking the threat level via incoming air being raised???

It shouldn’t be a surprise, McQueeg has never seen a war he didn’t like.

As far as Afghanistan is concerned, its never going to be any better than it is right now and will revert as soon as we leave no matter how long we’re there.

Were their hands visible during the show? Or, were they jerking each other off?

FoxNews showed a clip of Graham complaining that the WH/Obama needs to do something about the southern border crisis. Graham said 'Obama needs to send the kids back home to send a message.'

[Hey, Lindsey, many of us have been saying YELLING the same about the massive influx of illegals during the last 20 years. Yet, you keep pushing amnesty for THEM. How duplicitous of you.]

"so I was surprised that McCain criticized this administration's decision to withdraw from Iraq"

McCain and Graham are NeoCons so they are saying the NeoCon talking points. What they are saying is no different from what other NeoCons have said, regarding the circumstances of the Iraq withdrawal. Other NeoCons such as Cheney, Wolfowitz, Bill Kristol, Scott Bremmer, etc, etc.

Some of these other NeoCons have called for the re-invasion of Iraq, but McCain and Graham have not gone that far.

It's cheaper for the networks to have them both as guest since they share the same hotel & bed.

I can’t stress this enough. The events following USSR invasion of Afghanistan in the 1980’s & subsequent U.S. active support back then to Islamic Mojahedin, what later became the Taliban, AQ & still later ISIS, all unleashed a deadlier force than Socialism & USSR. What we see now is a result of chain events. A significant part of which kicked off in the 1980’s. McCain is stating the very obvious. Once US forces withdraw, Afghanistan will gradually revert to the darks ages. Bush2 was right about one thing, this is a long term war...if the US isn’t prepared to stay in Afghanistan, in this case, for at least another 10 yrs, then might as well call it a lost cause. ‘Nation building’ in countries like Iraq or Afghanistan take decades longer than toppling secular dictators or Islamic figures.. and although no comparison with Germany or Japan of WW2, the US maintained a strong presence in those countries, whereas it seems the US wants to bolt out of Islamic countries like Iraq & Afghanistan at the first opportunity & for x,y,z excuses. I can only conclude that either the US gover’t doesn’t understand the Islamic threat, or is propagating it..perhaps thinking it can control it.

There is no Iraqi unrest. There is de facto dissolution of the former boundary known as Iraq into three ancient regions of tribal rule.

These are is the Kurdish region, the Sunni Region, and the Shia region.

The remaining battles will be to establish the new boundaries

I guess I should have clarified that Hughes is now owned by Raytheon. Same difference.

What many just don't get is that planet earth is really a planet of two worlds. The world of barbarism and a world of civilization. Having both civilizations send representatives to a body called the UN, pretending that this is an agency of that can resolve differences between the two as equals is simply laughable. I'm afraid that for us we have reached the pinacle of our civilization and we could join the ranks of barbarism in three to four generations.

UN reached its expiry date over two decades ago. It’s a very weak brand now, only a little relevant worldwide for its ‘humanitarian’ label. They should get rid of it. Incidentally, civilizations are never equal, nor is war. One will lose.
