The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s most accurate, up-to-date temperature data confirm the United States has been cooling for at least the past decade. The NOAA temperature data are driving a stake through the heart of alarmists claiming accelerating global warming.
Responding to widespread criticism that its temperature station readings were corrupted by poor siting issues and suspect adjustments, NOAA established a network of 114 pristinely sited temperature stations spread out fairly uniformly throughout the United States. Because the network, known as the U.S. Climate Reference Network (USCRN), is so uniformly and pristinely situated, the temperature data require no adjustments to provide an accurate nationwide temperature record. USCRN began compiling temperature data in January 2005. Now, nearly a decade later, NOAA has finally made the USCRN temperature readings available...

If the cooling date is indeed confirmed; they will just jump on that side of things.
They will still insist on controlling the economy and use climate change to seize control of our lives.

“The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are melting and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot, according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from Consulafft, at Bergen, Norway.
Reports from fishermen, seal hunters, and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone. Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes.
Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm. Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.
Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds. Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coastal cities uninhabitable.”

oh.... I DO APOLOGIZE,...... I neglected to mention that this report was from November 2, 1922, as reported by the AP and published in The Washington Post 91+ years ago.
That's the real story here. The NOAA doctored the data. This agency that produces the raw data for a lot of these models and the basis for other research tried to make the data look like Global Warming was occurring. Why aren't people going to jail -- or at least being fired -- for this?
There was a great map I once saw that showed the Arctic broken out in warmer than average (red) areas and cooler than average (blue) ones.
There were about an equal amount. The red areas were labeled “Climate” the blue ones “weather”
They call that "leading from behind".
That's what the climate fearmongers were screeching about in the 1970s ... By the year 2010, Cleveland OH was going to be buried under a glacier. (A good idea, IMO. Sorry, Canadians ...) Then they transitioned to global warming. Run in circles, Scream and Shout!!!

You are right that they could care less about the climate, conservation, or pristine wilderness. Witness their indifference over the raptor killing machines called wind turbines. Their purpose is to advance their political agenda and if a sizable chunk of the eagle population has to die for the cause, so be it. Mexican jumping mice on the other hand, which are not endangered, are useful agents for throwing ranchers off their lands, so one cannot harm a single whisker on their little faces.
Lies are easier to invent than they are to refute, but eventually people can figure these things out, given some help. We no longer think that lightning is the wrath of the gods.

It’s interesting that the NASA GISS data over roughly the same time period (they give only annual data) shows a slope of only .0004 Degrees F per month, compared with this chart of .005 degrees F per month. That’s less than 10% of the unmolested drop on this chart. More proof that GISS is torturing their data.
