It doesn’t really matter anymore what the City thinks. Most of their ordinances have been slapped down and overruled by the state of Illinois. I think they have a couple restrictions that still stand (assault weapon ban and one on mags over 15 rounds), but otherwise, the city has no say in the matter.
Wonder how many extra full time police officers could have been put on the streets in high crime districts with that 1.6 mil?
SCOTUS will rule “infringement” equivalent to a tax if the local residents agree.

The SCOTUS have already ruled on this a couple times already, and they haven’t exactly been siding with Chicago.
It's bully tactics are not welcome and the ACLU has been silent for a very long time, Why?
Because there's a Communist in the WH doing more damage than the ACLU ever dreamed of.
Oh, you can count on them being back once the RATs are trapped and disposed of in 2014/16.
Expect all hell to break loose in American courts once again.
