Cochran won by 6880 votes.

As far as I am aware, the absentee ballots remain un-reviewed.

Perhaps awaiting an official announcement this evening.

No. Today is the last day of election certification. So now that the results are certified, McDaniel can submit a challenge to the Republican Party of Mississippi (they’ll reject it). He then goes to a judge to get either a stay pending investigation, or an invalidation.

Cochran’s campaign suborned wholesale violation of Mississippi Code 23-15-575, which states, “No person shall be eligible to participate in any primary election unless he intends to support the nominations made in which he participates.” It may be unenforceable against any one individual, but it’s still the law. And I would think a court would take a dim view of electioneering based on encouraging its violation.

Enough to arrest anyone for fraud yet?

Hmmmmm.
How about the top financial backers of the fraud?
or are THEY protected from election fraud accountability,
too?
or is this a plan so that Obama’s Election fraud
is also ignored? or both?

The corruption of our voting process is beyond comprehension…

Been saying since 2008 that we have seen our last 'honest' nationally-impacted election. Cook County Machine went national. We went Soviet.

The Ruling Class Party will decide who gets to "represent" us, same as it was under Stalin and Kruschev.

But Americans refuse to believe that, even though we have it plain as day in our face.

" Today is the last day of election certification..."

We went through this in Washington when the democrats stole a gubernatorial election with the help of a timid attorney general and a judge who wore earrings. Like the Washington election; this election should not even be certified!

Even then, you can’t say for whom they voted. You can’t presuppose they were all votes for Cochran. Nor can you ask them.

I look forward to the lawsuit but it’s a tough row to hoe. He’s legal position just isn’t strong. Having said that, I got some convictions that shocked the Hell out of me.

The Republican National Senatorial Committee sent $175 thousand and their staff as volunteer workers. Allegations have been made that Saleem Baird, A Us Senate Staffer on the staff of US Senator Roger Wicker (R MS) was delivering cash money to at least one individual who was paying democrats $15 to vote for US Senator Thad Cochran (R MS) in the Mississippi Republican Primary runoff.

That's what I was saying.

First, they tell you that you have to wait until after certification. Then after certification they tell you it's too late, you should have done it sooner.

Who they voted for is inconsequential. As McDaniel’s spokesperson has said, all they need to do is throw the result into question. If you can prove a reasonable doubt as to the result, with the right judge, it will be overturned.

We saw that in our 2012 Virginia primary. We could vote for whomever we wanted on the Republican ballot, as long as it was Myth.

++++
If the data was available to determine the total votes for each candidate that would be disqualified then a recount would be in order not a new election.

So who they voted for is very, very consequential. But, as far as we know, the connection between the voter and the ballot is not available. If so the best we can hope for is a new election as you noted.

OTOH, I am yet to see anything definitive concerning the lack of tracking from voter to ballot. We are all just assuming that connection is not possible.

Under normal circumstances, you are absolutely correct, but Mississippi is one of something like 2 states that do not have a recount procedure on the books, which is why one is not on the cards.

This will be about throwing the result into question. I think that is what happened with the Hattiesburg mayoral race

Rob McKenna did not want Dino Rossi to win because McKenna had his eyes on the Governor’s office. Had Rossi won, it would have pushed his chances back for who knows how long.

Remember who the law firm that was hired to represent the Republican party? Davis Wright Tremaine, a liberal Democrat supporting firm. If you also recall, the complaint in the election complaint failed to allege vote fraud. How convenient.

McKenna also claimed he had no authority to investigate vote fraud, which was the biggest bunch of bullshit you could imagine. I even cited the WA constitution and statute that gave him that authority. The real reason McKenna refused to investigate vote fraud was because any future chance he may have had to eventually become governor would have been lost because the liberals would have turned out in force by blaming him for cheating Gregoire ut of the office.

McKenna is a sleazeball, and always has been.

And then there was the corrupt WASC that ignored all previous cases in order to give the election to Gregoire.
