The United States on Monday night condemned the rocket fire by Hamas against Israel. Secretary of State John Kerry spoke to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu Monday night in the wake of the heavy rocket fire on Israel. Kerry asked Netanyahu to “act with restraint” in his response to Hamas' pounding of southern Israel.
With that, State Department spokesperson Jean Psaki said that the US supported Israel's right to defend itself. “We condemn the firing of missiles at Israel and support Israel's right to defend itself.” Kerry, she said, had spoken to Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and asked both to work towards preventing a further flare-up in tensions.

Act with restraint? Say, what a novel idea. Why didn’t anyone else think of that? Palestinians will see it and probably want to act with restraint as well.
That was quick, compared to the response to those Israeli teens kidnapped and ultimately murdered. And how can anyone take John Kerry seriously as our sec’y of state? The same Kerry who designated Peter Yarrow, of Peter Paul and Mary fame his daughter’s godfather. The same Peter Yarrow who got himself in trouble when he got a 13-yr-old groupie high on pot and, seduced her to, shall we say, puff on his “magic dragon”. He used terrible judgement then, how do we know he’s of sound mind to make such important decisions concerning foreign policy? Maybe it’s a minor point, but oftentimes little things mean a lot.
Did he ask the demented savages in Gaza to show restraint after they launched over 100 rockets into Israel today?

Now just a cotton pickin’ minit here. Let’s be fair. Peter Yarrow is a famous singer. He can molest all the 13-year-old chicks he wants, or boys, too, for that matter. Next you’re going to say Roman Polanski isn’t allowed the occasional drugged kid in the hot tub. What is the world coming to? Is nothing sacred anymore? Now you leave those famous people alone.
