For the second time on Tuesday evening, a rocket was launched at central Israel from the Gaza Strip.

An Iron Dome battery intercepted a projectile over the greater Tel Aviv area.

Sirens sounded in various cities in central Israel on Tuesday night and blasts were heard in Tel Aviv.

The air raid siren was activated in cities including Rishon Lezion, Bat Yam, Holon and Bnei Barak, but not in Tel Aviv.

Earlier on Tuesday evening, the Iron Dome rocket defense system intercepted a projectile near Tel Aviv over the city of Rishon Lezion, as air raid sirens sounded in central Israeli cities for the first time amid recent escalations.

If Obama has been advising Hamas to ‘show restraint’ he’s been doing it real quietly.

Iron Dome rockets cost a lot more than the little unguided home-made RPGs that are coming from the other side.

I prefer the safe, clean solution:

Neutron bomb, 1-10kt airburst. Kill the vermin. Save the buildings. (Ok....the photo is of a 0.5kt Chinese test, onto an animal farm, but what the heck)

Counter
Battery
Radar

IDF can't do that. Palyscum like to launch rockets from playgrounds and near daycares HOPING for IDF retaliation so they can kill the kids for a Pallywood production. That is why IDF has to go in with ground troops. Did I mention that the Palis are scum?

I think any rocket capable of reaching Tel Aviv from Gaza is a little bit bigger than an RPG rocket. But, yes, you put your finger on the problem. Israel has limited numbers of interceptors and Hamas has lots of cheap rockets that they can fire in waves or as decoys.

I have to assume that Iron Dome works pretty much like Patriot III: The radar plots the incoming missile and if it’s determined that it won’t strike anything of value they don’t launch an interceptor.

I didn’t mean they are literally launching RPG rounds.

The Palestinian rockets I’ve seen are made out of a length of metal pipe and have a cantaloupe-sized explosive warhead.

I guess that is a bit larger than a grenade.

The main thing is that they’re unguided, crude, and very inexpensive. Especially compared to an Iron Dome anti-missile-missile.

Some years ago, the sewer systems in several Palestinian towns collapsed because they had taken all the pipe to make rockets.

The towns were flooded with raw sewage. International outcry caused Israel to send them emergency shipments of pipe. They immediately used this pipe to make more rockets.

Does anyone know what’s up with the kid who was burned alive supposedly in retailiation for the killing of the three israeli boys?

That does NOT sound like typical behavior, and smells to me of a set-up. I cant even imagine them doing that

Hamas launches rockets, and Obama launches children from Central America. Its still an attack no matter how you word it.

I hope your family and all the Israelis are safe from this latest attempt to harm Israel. It makes no sense to me that people there always have to fight just to exist as a country. Such a shame.

Makes me always wonder why so many Jewish folks in this country support Democrats. It’s crazy.

I think if Jews here in America were to actually visit Israel and see what they have to deal with everyday they would think differently..unfortunately the Jews here in America(Especially women) think only about abortion. That is their priority NOT Israel

Jews in Israel don’t have to think about their abortion since they are all free there.
