Posted before, worth posting again, I think...
His words and actions, like Hitler’s, told everybody what his intentions were. But like those in Hitler’s day, nobody believed it.
He PROMISED to “Yes-We-Can” fundamentally change America. His VOTING RECORD as a senator told everybody he was to the LEFT of the Socialist Party, so it was easy to see that his fundamental “change” was going to be an attempt to take America from a Constitutional Republic to a Marxist state.
Government take-over of as many things as possible was the goal of the first half of this “presidency” with his crowning achievement being government take-over of healthcare. Nobody blinked. He was reelected.
Somewhere along the line in his “lame duck” second half, he decided he had nothing to lose by doing whatever he could to unconstitutionally consolidate power to himself and destabilize the United States in as many ways as possible.
Reasons to impeach are too long to mention (the list of grievances could read like the Declaration of Independence) but for me, the last straw was letting the five Taliban crazies go back where they could effectively wage murderous Islam jihad on America.
Impeach Obama, repeal Obamacare, cut government by 80%+, constantly assert alternative of the wealth-creating free market economy, and let freedom once again rain in America.
No matter how compelling the motivation, impeaching the Current Occupant himself is an exercise in futility and totally counterproductive.
Start by whacking his Cabinet and close White House staff. If they are lawyers, proceed with disbarment, and use the impeachment process against the Cabinet members (and a couple members of the Supreme Court, while you are at it). For the close advisors of the Current Occupant, criminal charges based on the RICO statutes, but only after a reliable and unbiased Special Prosecutor has been appointed, as nobody from within the Current Regime could be counted on to act responsibly in such a prosecution.
Nixon only lied about the degree of involvement in a third-rate burglary, and attempted to conceal some strongly incriminating evidence. What the Current Occupant has done goes far beyond that relatively harmless series of pranks by the Nixon White House. Nobody died, and the national security was never in any danger.
Incompetence ranks right up there among the grievous sins like stupidity and open treason. Stupidity never goes unpunished, and treason, I could understand, might be excused if in fact there were a better world on the other side of the seismic change in the very foundation of what was once the United States of America, but that “better day” never seems to materialize. The progressives’ idea of a “better day” has never worked in the history of man, and even if the excuse were that “the right people never got to run it”, it STILL appears that the “right people” have not yet been found.
All goes back to the incompetence thing. And a total lack of critical thinking.
