Perhaps because there was no longer any plausible deniability about the existence of the story, MSNBC's Chris Matthews tonight devoted a segment to the controversy, bringing on Bernard Center founder Michelle Bernard and Salon's Joan Walsh to discuss the matter. While all three agreed that the controversy would in no way sink Mrs. Clinton's 2016 prospects, Walsh was particularly vociferous in her defense of Clinton, while Matthews and Bernard were critical of the former first lady. At one point, a testy Walsh charged Bernard with twisting the facts of the story.

Joan Walsh is a special kind of irritating. She’s equal parts milquetoast and that special sort of snobbiness that is only held by people who really have nothing to be snobby about. Like the good-looking, but dumber than a box of rocks guy or gal who were in the “in crowd” in high school.
She’d take Benghazi back, too. She’s good on refunds.

Her shrill laugher cuts through most people who hear it.
Some people have a horrible voice or laugher. She’s one.
And of course, by “that laughter” she means, “that cackle.”

It reveals her lack of character and morals for the world to see.

Oh but my stupid friend, your leader has NOT taken the laughter back. I know that doesn’t change your worship for her, but she hasn’t taken it back in fact she has doubled down on it.
