Dem. Rep. Cuellar: WH Called Me For Speaking Out against President
NRO ^ | July 9, 2014 | Andrew Johnson

Posted on 07/09/2014 10:04:52 AM PDT by don-o

Representative Henry Cuellar (D., Texas) hasn’t been shy about speaking out against the Obama administration’s handling of the border crisis, and that apparently earned him a phone call from the someone at the White House.

“Yes, I have,” Cuellar said on Fox & Friends on Wednesday when asked if he had received a talking-to. “But let me just say that I’m more concerned not about who gets angry at me at the White House; I’m more concerned about my constituents who want to find a practical solution to this question that we’re facing down there at the border.”

“Who called you?” host Brian Kilmeade asked.

“We’ll just leave it like that,” Cuellar responded.

“Did they tell you to pipe down?” Kilmeade pressed again.

“We’ll just leave it like that,” the congressman repeated. “But notice what I’m doing: I’m still talking about it.”

So does Cuellar still support Obama? If this fool believed Obama’s private promises to the Dems on the border, he’s a bigger idiot than Bart Stupak.

just wait until he's "invited" to the WH

I hope every DC pol doesn't have a price. I thought Kucinich didn't. But....Kucinich opposed Obamacare after actually reading it. He caved after a ride in AF1 with Obama.

It got Kucinich nowhere....Obama never had his back after redistricting. Moral of my story....anyone who sells out for Obama is a fool.

It’s kind of an “emperor has no clothes” situation. When the dem didn’t back down, Obama’s WH calling demonstrated they’re just bullies only interested in their own agenda.

And who is going to teach this child level lesson TO THE PUBS??

The “open borders” as instituted by the Current Regime is about to come around and bite the Current Occupant and the entire Democrat party in the gluteus maximus.

At best, they have alienated a goodly part of the Hispanic voters. At worst they have unleashed a health and civil unrest crisis upon the entire country, as well as overwhelming all the potential sources of relief from local communities and private donors.

It was once the policy of the Stalinist Communist government of the Soviet Union, to relocate large segments of the ethnic populations to widely scattered parts of the Soviet empire, like Latvians to Georgia, or Chechens to Leningrad, or Ukrainians to Siberia.

These ethnically diverse people are now being widely dispersed throughout all part of the territory once known as “the United States of America, often without the prior knowledge or agreement of the communities affected.

School bussing with a vengeance. That program worked so well, too.

Time to revive the Republican campaign slogan of 1946 - “Had enough?”

There used to be a time when it wasn’t news when a Democrat bucked their president or party.

Don’t forget who got married thirty seconds after his party bud Condidit’s intern disappeared. Maybe Obama had a photo of Gary and Dennis in their bottomless chaps.

They can’t follow their usual script and dismiss him as a “mean, nasty, racist, white Republican.” This guy is a Democrat, and is Hispanic.

After the machinations of Ø’care, with phony EO’s on abortion and whipping the votes so that they know who can safely vote against while the monstrosity passes, I don’t trust ANY ‘Rat.

I can envision a scenario where the guy calculated that it was in his best interests to “oppose” Ø, and then he arranged for the white hut to seem to initiate calling him out, so that he could choreograph his “opposition”.

Just love it when somebody sitting at a computer says what a Democrat Mexican Texas congressman should have said when criticizing his party's administration.

It's easy to have TWO when sitting at a computer in NY.

This is a good sign. Cuellar must be getting mucho heat from his constituents who are largely Hispanic Americans. The flood of illegals coming to take their jobs and spread crime and disease in their communities must not be setting too well with them.

This is a good sign.

Thank you. I thought it was just me saw it that way. I confess to being mystified by how some folks seem to think.

The Democrats are looking BAD (poll wise) even along the Texas-Mexican border.

Cuellar’s numbers are down, and like some other have mentioned, the Texans with Mexican heritage are NOT happy with all these even MORE third-worlders, and crime riddled thug cultures from Central America!

Cuellar is simply playing to his constituents, but like all good politicians (especially Democrats), as soon as he is re-elected and back in the safe confines of D.C., he will sing whatever song The Won wants him to sing!
