Former New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for his conviction on bribery, money laundering and other corruption charges. Prosecutors said the actions for which he was convicted spanned his two terms as mayor — including the chaotic years after Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005.

U.S. District Judge Helen Berrigan handed down the sentence Wednesday morning.

Send him to Louisiana State Penitentiary (LSP, also known as Angola), it is 76% black, 24% white so he should enjoy the “Chocolate City” he was yearning for.

Brings back memories of these memorable clips from Don Imus' radio show:

Some public servants are more equal than others concerning incoming revenues. Was Ray’s chocolate the color green?

Well well well....Poor little Ray Nagin.

Threw President Bush under the bus. Smartest man in the room. Did everything he possibly could for “his” people in New Orleans. But, but, but....It was FEMA! Bush wouldn’t let FEMA come in and look what happened. And then the white people dynamited the levees. And ran all the black people off! BUSH EVIL! NAGIN GOOD!!!

The Commies...er, Democrats sure are quiet about this. I don’t know what’s wrong. He was one of their favorites for a good long time.

I’m SHOCKED.
Not that he did it.
But that he was convicted and sentenced.

What’s wrong with the Justice Dept? Spending too much time defending illegals?

Considering what he did to all the victims down there, using their brutal loses to rob them and line his own pockets, he should have been executed.

1,836 mostly elderly people died because of Nagin's corruption and incompetence.

And he got ten years, probably be out in 3 or 4 years.
