Chelsea Clinton paid $75,000 a speech, more than Colin Powell, but all goes to the Clinton Foundation
Daily Mail UK ^ | 9 July 2014 | Francesca Chambers

Chelsea Clinton is regularly paid sums as high as $75,000 to speak at events on behalf of the Clinton Foundation, it was revealed today.

A spokesperson for Clinton told the New York Times that 'the majority of Chelsea’s speeches are unpaid.' But when she is paid, the spokesperson, Kamyl Bazbaz, said, '100 percent of the fees are remitted directly to the foundation.'

The youngest member of the Clinton family doesn't attract as much cash for her speeches as her high-profile parents, who frequently charge $200,000 or more per appearance, but she is paid at a significantly higher rate than other political figures.

The New York Times estimates that former Florida Governor Jeb Bush makes $50,000 a speech, and the news organization said former secretaries of state Colin Powell and Madeleine Albright are known to charge roughly the same amount.

Chelsea Clinton does not get paid for her work as vice chair of the Clinton Foundation, a spokesman said, nor does she keep the money she receives for speaking on the foundation's behalf

The 34 year old's only known income is the $50,000 a month she receives from NBC for appearing on the network infrequently as a special correspondent. She received a salary of $600,000 in her role at the network last year and is now on a month-to-month contract as she prepares to have her first child.

According to her Clinton Foundation biography, she also serves on the boards of the School of American Ballet, Common Sense Media, the Africa Center and the Weill Cornell Medical College and is the Co-Chair of the Advisory Board of the Of Many Institute at New York University.

How much she is paid - if anything - for her contributions to those organizations is unknown.

The Clinton Syndicate’s money laundering operation.

This is a racket designed to circumvent campaign laws and funnel money to the Clintons. That’s what Hillary’s huge book advance was as well.

It’s money laundering. She signs the 75K fee over to the “foundation” to be filtered out to the hildebeest’s campaign and she also receives a salary because she works for the foundation.

Good thing, 600K a year for a no-show job at MSDNC isn’t nearly enough to scrape by.

You can bet all the Clintons...and the former Miss Hubbel...get salaries and stipends from the Clinton Foundation

Non Profits can pay salary for staff...and other costs. Non-profits are created to dodge taxes...job #1

Any expenses related to the foundation can be paid by the foundation. Think globe-hopping...

Instead of a salary, Chelsea could be receiving a stipend or some sort of income that is covered by some weasel accounting language.

One can be sure that the foundation would not exist if the Clintons weren’t able to scam off of it...

How could any guy go near that?

Didn’t her husband try to run away a year or two ago?

This is a scheme to funnel funds into a foundation which then supports causes the Clintons like, and they then will get return favors. Right now it is a parking place for Clinton loyalists. Why else do they have their own foundation, instead of just contributing to charity? They are gaming the system, which has big loopholes like this which favor the wealthy and the brazen. Most of the things they support are of course directed at more government control.
It is difficult to have a foundation like this with political aims if your aim is actually to limit government.
I am getting more and more radical in my thinking about scams like this. The root of the problem is making the tax distinction between profit and non-profit organizations. Why? It assumes that a profit-making organization is somehow less worthy than a non-profit, even though they work just the same. Having worked in a non-profit for most of my career, I can testify that people are no better in motive there than in most any other occupation.
We pay for these non-profits by our own taxes, and yet have nothing to say about their operations. I cannot use Clinton Foundation funds for my favorite causes.
The whole thing is a scam, mistakenly legal under our tax laws.

OK, what do the Clintons have to offer? They wouldn't be paid this much if they didn't get access.

It's not so much what they have to offer now, but rather what the Clintons delivered in the past.

Visit the wiki "Clinton Foundation" page for a quick scan of the elebenty million plus donor categories.

Many names from the time of his admin.

Bill Gates, recall the Microsoft antiitrust suit.

Bernie Schwartz - Loral high tech transfer to Red China.

List of Arab individuals and nation states is most interesting.

And so on and so on.

You'll note that Miz Hubbell has been on the Board of Directors since 2011 as well as on CHAI, spin-off sub-foundation dealing with "health initiatives".

What does she speak about?

Who actually listens to her? At her relatively young age, with what experiences can she regale her audiences? What anecdotes on life and musings can she share? Surely, she is the "Snooki" of the political world--vapid, uninteresting, no sense of humor...her only experience was that she lived in the White House at the same time as her parents. Undoubtedly, her "involvement" with heads of state and other visitors are "fish stories" -- growing more and more important with each passing speech.

Let’s call it what is really is - Money Laundering. It has become an easy way for political payoffs. On top of it all, in the case of the three Clintons, it all goes into the Clinton Foundation. Follow the money. Where does it go from there?

Politics in the US has become controlled by the Corrupt. This is not limited to the Democrats, although they are by far the worst. However, many Republicans are acting the same. America, you have huge problems at all levels of government. Corruption is massive.

Doesn’t care about money at all, but made $125,000 per year right after graduating. Lives in $10 million apartment in NYC, married a WS investment banker, blah, blah, blah.

Hasn’t she already started and then QUIT over 3 different careers..?

What in hell can she teach people?

That her REAL dad is Web Hubbell —I might pay a little to hear it from HER mouth, although I’ve known that for 20 years.

Hadeel Ibrahim (29 years old) is among Africa young leaders who hope that a new Africa is possible.

The daughter of the billionaire Mo Ibrahim – Forbes estimated the fortune of the Sudanese at 2, 5 billion dollars and classified him among influential people of the world- executive director of the foundation that carries the name of his father, has introduced since 2006, the “Leadership of excellence” prize supposed to reward good governance on African continent. This prize for 5 million US dollars intended to African heads of states, did not find a winner for the fourth consecutive time.

Board member of Mary Robinson Foundation – Climate Justice (MRFCJ), Hadeel Ibrahim, militates in favor for well-being of victims of climate change consequences.

Poor and vulnerable people are not the only priority of the English-Sudanese young woman. Hadeel Ibrahim is also working for the preservation of cultural patrimony by her commitment in the LEAP program of the UNESCO.

In February 2014, during a conference of heads of the governments, Hadeel presented in Barcelona (Spain) a communication on social use of mobile phones. She demonstrated that general use of mobile phones participates in the empowering of individuals by increasing their productivity and improves their access to basic services in peacetime as well as in disaster time.

Within the context of the edition 2014 International Woman’s Day celebration, Hadeel Ibrahim was classified by Jeune Afrique magazine among the 20 women who are moving Africa.

What does this unaccomplished twit have to say that could be worth paying $75.00 to hear, let alone $75,000.00?

"How I bought a $10 million dollar condo by working for $600,000 a year at NBC."

Let’s put this in perspective:

-Median salary for a registered nurse is about $65,000 a year.

-A speech takes about an hour to deliver.

-Chelsea Clinton receives $75,000 per speech.

QED: Whatever this pampered princess is producing in one hour, it is worth $10,000 more to the producer than what the median RN produces in a year.

Wotta world.
