In Donetsk Gubarev met a group of Russian volunteers who came to fight for the "New Russia" (VIDEO) 15:0909.07.2014

Militants do not hide what is on their side fighting Russian "volunteers".

Thus, the network service YouTube correspondent so-called national militia Donbass posted video of July 8 "popular governor" Paul Gubarev meets mercenaries.

At the same time the Russians do not hide the fact that "a ticket to Ukraine" they received in the Moscow military.

Among those who arrived in Donetsk - the inhabitants of Astrakhan, Vladivostok and other cities.

What’s fascinating to me is that the Russkies don’t seem to bother to even hide what’s going on when they’re discussing amongst themselves, but if the West asks them, all of a sudden they don’t know anything. It’s all just a spontaneous uprising and Putin is uninvolved, not giving weapons or anything.

It is being reported that after Strelkov’s TV appeal yesterday, 500 people signed up with the DNR in Donetsk in one day, while 300 volunteered at the Rebel recruiting office in Moscow. He said that with only 8-10,000 more soldiers, he could stop Kiev’s invasion cold.

The Rebels have set up recruiting stations in St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Rostov.

In the beginning, they didn’t need to. There are enough old infantry weapons lying around Ukraine, especially in the old Soviet cache’s, to arm tens of thousands.

The rebels have flat-out captured a lot of stuff from the UK Troops, like the AFV’s abandoned in Slavyansk in the beginning, or the two advanced “Tungushka” Heavy AA AFV’s that they captured last week.

Also, in that part of the world, black-market weapons are widely available, as well, with many a soldier willing to sell their stuff for 5 years worth of salary. That is how a lot of the newer stuff ended up with the rebels in the first place.

Kiev is already prosecuting several officers for selling stuff to the rebels.

At some point during the self-declared “Cease-fire”, it seems that Putin stopped giving a damn about appearances, and started to make new equipment “Available” on the border.

But, remember Russian Federation has cut all Ukraine broadcasts off. Youo can’t blame these guys listening to Kremlin lies & promised BIG BUCKS! Too bad no one told them it was a one way ticket. Russian border guards do NOT let them back to return home!
Putin is evil

The resident FR Putinista troll, who never wanted to admit Russia's arming of the separatists, rears his ugly head. Here, a gift from me to you:

"Yesterday at a press conference in Donetsk, ultranationalist leftist leader Sergei Kurginyan clashed with leaders of the pro-Russian separatist movement Pavel Gubarev and Igor Bezler, after he denounced Strelkov for fleeing Slavyansk. During the course of the shouting match, which ended with the separatists walking out, Kurginyan stlil managed to outline just how much aid the separatists have received from “civil society” in Russia, even if the weapons were sometimes poor quality — and indicated “more modern” vehicles and artillery were being sent in since 3 July. This was a fact not lost on Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Andriy Lysenko (translation here and below by The Interpreter):

“In particular, yesterday during a press conference in Donetsk, the leaders of the militants confirmed that they receive armored vehicles, artillery systems, antitank, anti-aircraft and small arms from Russia. We have reported this many times. Now the militants themselves have openly admitted it,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday.

As we reported on our Ukrainian Liveblog today, Andriy Parubiy, Chairman of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, also commented on in-fighting among the separatists:

“Mr. Paribuy stated that the source of the tension was that Strelkov had received large amounts of money from the Kremlin and was not appropriately sharing it with the various other leaders. This tension has become highlighted as it seems that Russia may be quietly ignoring please for more help from separatists holed up in Donetsk.”

It is probably another proxy war. Reciprocity is a major principle in foreign policy. Obama arms Al-Qaeda to topple Russian allies in ME, Putin is doingnthe same to US allies in Europe.

Ukraine's invasion has more to do with Putin's desire to reestablish the borders of the USSR. As for Obama arming Al-Qaeda, so who did Obama arm for Putin to aid Iran with nukes, Syria with Hizbollah, and for Putin to setup a puppet Islamic state in Chechnya?

Sometimes you need every ally you can get in some parts of the world. As for Iran I’m yet to see any nukes there.

As for a re-establishment of USSR, please... What about securing a gas transit in the first place?

I guess the Putin apologists are ready to offer apologia for the Islamists in Iran too, as long as Putin tells them too.

As for the re-establishment of the USSR's borders, this is the explicit intention of regime, hence their frequent use of the term "Novorussiya." The pipeline is a good bonus too though.

I never said they weren’t getting weapons from Russia, just not on the scale you have claimed numerous times. I have also said, several times, that the rebel groups have not been coordinating very well.

You said “More modern” vehicles and equipment have been sent in since July 3. I have been saying that for at least a week BEFORE that.

Feel free to check my posts, my OPINIONS have been mostly correct, up to this point. (You understand the difference between reports and opinion, don’t you?)

That said, I thought Strelkov would make a last stand in Slovyansk, based on what he was saying. But, I also forgot what Tsun-Tzu said, that all war is about deception.

He baited the UK’s into believing that, so they were not prepared for when he did break out, in the face of overwhelming opposing forces.

Now he says that he cannot hold Donetsk without two weeks to prepare. This encourages the UK’s to move faster, leaving support behind, which opens up opportunities for irregular tactics. Which is exactly what sems to be happening now.

Putin is a Machiavellian. Obama and Maidan opened the door for Putin to move, and NO ONE should be surprised that he took it.

If we do that, we'll discover that you are about as honest as Putin, which is not very. Now he says that he cannot hold Donetsk without two weeks to prepare. This encourages the UK’s to move faster, leaving support behind, which opens up opportunities for irregular tactics.

Yes, you're hero Stelkov is a regular Alexander Bonarparte Rommel. The Putinist cheerleaders aren't even hiding it anymore it seems. One of your buddies even defended Russia's support for Iran's nuclear program in another thread. I think what we're witnessing is the crackup of the Putinists.

The coup where the Ukrainian parliament turned on Yanukovyich, even his own party, after the mass murdering? I'm still waiting for you to provide a definition of "coup" that involves an elected government taking power it already had.

Lol..
Your pigeon-holing attempts are really quite laughable, as usual.

I’m trying to analyze what is ACTUALLY going on in Ukraine. You don’t like that, because there are things that make your Euro-Nazi heros look bad. Anything not Euromaidan pre-approved is “Putinista Propaganda!”

You desperately try to control the language of this event, just like a Daily Kos lib does. Do EuromaidanPR and OFA share the same trolls?

I was also correct in assuming what Bezler would do after Strelkov arrived in Donetsk, namely unleashing his forces against the Right Sector/Kolomoisky Militias, since he didn’t have to do a static defense anymore.

In the last 6 days, he nearly wiped out Semenchenko’s “Avoz” battalion at the Saur, and yesterday knocked out half of Yarosh’s Battalion, claiming 35 killed, and over 100 wounded.

I would guess his next target is Lyashko.

It is also why the UK’s bombed Bezler’s base in Horlivka yesterday.

Just to note, there have been several tweets tonight that the UK’s may attack Donetsk before Dawn tonight.
