Posted on 07/09/2014 3:01:44 PM PDT by blueyon
The latest bombshell email revelation from former top IRS official Lois Lerner shows her actively trying to hide information from Congress just days after learning of the Investigator General report on the IRS targeting of the Tea Party and conservative groups.
Lerner stated that she had been cautioning fellow IRS employees to be cautious about what we say in emails because Congress has asked for emails. She was also concerned with hiding information shared through an IRS internal messaging system known as OCS, previously unknown to congressional investigators and others. She asked another employee if OCS conversations were also searchable.

an IRS internal messaging system known as OCS
First we’ve seen mention of this...
the dirt gets deeper the farther we dig, eh mz lerner?
ACLJ just posted this right after I posted first story......
“New E-mails Show Lerner Intentionally Sought to Hide Information from Congress”
“I was cautioning folks about email and how we have several occasions where Congress has asked for emails we need to be cautious about what we say in emails
he House Oversight and Government Reform Committee today released new e-mails at a hearing with IRS Commissioner John Koskinen showing former Internal Revenue Service (IRS) official Lois Lerner leading an IRS effort to hide information from Congressional inquiries.
From the April 9, 2013, email exchange among Lerner, an IRS technology employee (Maria Hooke), and the agencys Director for Exempt Organizations Exam Unit Manager Nanette Downing who led audits:
I had a question today about OCS [Microsoft Office Communications Server]. I was cautioning folks about email and how we have several occasions where Congress has asked for emails and there has been an electronic search for responsive emails so we need to be cautious about what we say in emails. Someone asked if OCS conversations were also searchable I dont know, but told them I would get back to them. Do you know?
Lerners April 2013 e-mail exchanges came just twelve days after the IRS Inspector General shared a draft copy of its targeting audit with the IRS that Lerner would leak at a bar association speech only weeks before the scandal became public.
In e-mails withheld from the Committee until only last week, Lerner was apparently concerned that IRS conversations taking place within the agencys instant messenger program could end up in the hands of Congress along with requested e-mails. An IRS technology employees responded that OCS messages are not set to automatically save but cautioned that parties involved in an OCS conversation can copy and save the contents of the conversation to an email or file. Lerner responded, Perfect.
When Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, raised the e-mail to Commissioner Koskinens attention, Koskinen said he had never seen the e-mail and was unfamiliar with the OCS communication system.

***Then they have a link to email!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
water boarding and forced waterskiing
No matter what else happens this bitch needs to be jailed for a long time.
makes it tougher to believe that her hard disk just crashed.
Unfortunately, I don’t think she’s use such a dumb excuse if she wasn’t completely confident that Obama will give her “Get Out of Jail Free” Card when she needs it.
First impeach her then when you remove her from office, strip her of her pension, then charge her with crimes, convict and put her in jail.
Let her sit a month or so and then start negotiating reducing her time in jail if she cooperates and testifies against others in the regime.
Ohhh — look at that — a live one — a Lois Lerner Email — and I thought they were an endangered species.
Cough the rest of them up, Lois —
Plus a big fine and she pays her own court costs.
Stay out of Ft. Marcy Park, Lois.
At this point you’re worth more.....(never mind).
Where is the FBI? They should get warrants and seize everything.
Microsoft Office Communications Server is also better known as Lync and it’s an instant messaging system that is not designed to store conversations.
Oh geeze, who is in charge of the FBI again???
this is more than enough to charge her with felony obstruction of justice.
So what are they waiting for?
Conspiracy to destroy the Republic deserves the needle.
Death can’t be pardoned..... it’s forever.
I have a “Saved Conversations” folder in Outlook that is a local copy of my Lync conversations.
” Microsoft Office Communications Server is also better known as Lync and its an instant messaging system that is not designed to store conversations.”
Sorry, but IMs sure can be stored and per NARA are supposed to be.
