Ann Coulter is urging tea party challenger Chris McDaniel to concede in the Mississippi Senate Republican primary.
In an op-ed in the Jackson Clarion-Ledger, the conservative commentator said McDaniel supporters who are fighting to contest the June 24 runoff election results against Sen. Thad Cochran are hurting the GOP and McDaniels own political future.

The GOP-E is hurting the GOP. Just as Romney was about the worst possible candidate for 2012. Ann gets it wrong again.
She loves, loves, loves Chris Christie, Mitt Romney and Mitch McConnell.
I don’t listen to a single word she says.
Give it up, Ann.
We don’t buy your political opinions here anymore.
I did, however, like her column on soccer.
You haven’t been following the latest: Ann dislikes soccer. She’s ok, now.
Uhhhhhhh...isn't that what we want?
and McDaniels own political future.
Meh. That it's his future. Let him decide whether or not it's worth risking.
The GOP in its presesnt form NEEDS to be hurt. Hurt bad. They are currently just Dem lite. Whereas the Dems are driving the national train off the cliff at 100 mph the Republicans are promising that if elected they will drive it off the cliff at only 70 mph.
Is she saying voter fraud is OK as long as its GOP voter fraud?
If you don’t support clean elections then F off there Annie.
I don’t know. I think Ann may be correct.
I wish she’d make her points better, though.
Stuff it, Ann.
We’re fed up with the “establishment”, not just the democrat “ruling class”, but the GOPe that think the same way.
Chris McDaniel should give up - surrendering to vote fraud is a GOP tradition.
NEVER GIVE UP!
I don't remember her starting out as a Republican shill.
I got a robocall form Karen Handel for whom I voted in the primary because I thought she had conservative principles. It was announcing her support for Kingston for the runoff race for Republican candidate for the Traitor Chambliss seat.
Just damn. No one in this country has any principles anymore - that includes Ann.
Too late. We lost her quite some time ago.
Guess that explains why Drudge won’t write a story about McDaniel.....
One by one they are being exposed for what they are. The one that hit me hard was Medved.
And now Ann.
Interestingly, the first guy that I pegged as gung ho R no matter how undefensible it was sometimes was Limbaugh. It looks like he snapped out of it.
I can’t imagine Palin going there.
When all of your crop fields are infested with locusts, the best thing you can to is to burn it completely to the ground and replant next season. They don’t deserve anything.
I’m more concerned that The GOP is hurting America’s future.
She has lost my respect.
Go your way now Ann and join the heap of GOP-lite.
GO CHRIS MCDANIELS!!
Ann you moron. The GOP with its illegal activities in the run-off election have hurt its chances for a Republican majority in the US Senate and you condone that behavior. Shame on you.
Who is she sleeping with?
She gives a convincing argument.
As of now, I am DONE with Ann Coulter, she does not speak for me!
Remember when you came out swinging in defense of your chubby boyfriend, Chris? Remember when you backtracked on that and admitted he probably knew what was going on?
I thought McDaniel had a good chance of a new election. That’s what I’d base the decision on. If it’s not likely I’d give up. If it can get done I’d go for it.
I know I’m going to make people angry here, but what exactly did Cochran do that was fraudulent? Paid for a few votes? Appeal to the black community to vote for him. McDaniel could have done the same thing.
IN comparison, to other examples of vote fraud, this one doesn’t pass the sniff test.
I’d say all in all, I agree with what she is saying. Time to move on. LEt’s get the senate.
Uhhh.... No Ann, No way, No how.
Time for Coulter to STFU. She has tripped over herself more than once lately. Starting to belief her own press.
Let's not forget the racist ads and robocalls made by the Cochran campaign, paid for by GOPe senators.
Cochran conspired with the very people who are destroying this country,to subvert an election. An election that he would have clearly lost without intervention. Why won’t election officials allow their paperwork to be examined?Could it be that they have committed felonies?
If Cochran emerges from this unscathed, this will become the default standard for the GOP-E to put down the Tea Party. Stopping this crap in its tracks is far more important than one Senate seat.
McDaniel has found enough instances of this to make the difference. That IS assuming that the duplicate votes were all Cochran, but from my understanding, McDaniel hasn't been given access to all poll books in the state to determine exactly how large an issue this is. The fact that he's found enough votes in the counties he's been allowed to review so far, is sufficient to call the result into question IMHO.
What a stupid douchebag
I call on Ann Coulter to give up.
Her books are as hot as Hillary's. lol
I urge ann to join karl rove in taking a long walk off a short pier
“Let’s get the senate.”
The ‘us’ in that sentence is the GOPe, who have systematically impugned, backstabbed, lied about, withheld funding, and otherwise screwed over anyone who is in the GOP but not part of their clique.
So, what you are saying to conservatives amounts to “get back on the danged plantation”.
You’re right - that does make a bunch of us angry. As it should.
Needless to say, I disagree with you (and Ms. Coulter).
In this editorial, Ann, who is a skilled and insightful writer, is making two errors and one oversight in my opinion.
First, she is signalling to McDaniels that, if he takes his lumps in this instance, the GOPe will pay him back with a later appointment or support in a later election. That assumes the GOPe will retain its iron grip on power, an error if one observes the weakness of the GOPe and its trajectory of decline due to a vanishing strategy and misunderstanding of what motivates voters. Ann also leaves out the influence of the Dem party, which, increasingly dominates the boundaries of what the GOPe can do. The GOPe is largely under the direction of the Dem party.
A second error that Ann makes regards election integrity. If the election is driven by illegality, it delegitimizes Cochran and Cochran will be less effectual in office than he would be otherwise. It could subordinate Cochran to others’ control and would be an issue thrown at R candidates in upcoming elections, weakening R influence going forward. It also severely damages public confidence in the integrity of elections, with broad and severe implications for the nation—not a minor political squabble.
The oversight regards the need for dissent and challenge WITHIN a party if that party is going to work hard, improve, and maintain awareness of the voting public. A party that is run by a core of elite power brokers and their few large donors will become out-of-touch with voters and serve only their own narrow self-interests. Such a party fades and is vulnerable to external challenge. A viable party must challenge itself to be vibrant and successful.
Just my 2 cents.
I think Ann has made a business decision to appeal to GOPe, thinking it's a larger market for her books. She may be right, but her books, which are usually compilations of past columns, do not broadly appeal to the generic GOPe supporter.
Up until 2012, I usually bought one (or more) of Ann's books to give to my wife. Not anymore.
She gives a convincing argument. About what? She has been backing losers for some time and continues to do so.
Who is she sleeping with?
When one asks that of a never married, 50ish woman, desperate to appear younger than her age (I am 60 going on 17, sing it with me), well the mind conjures up any number of answers to the question.
Some of the answers involve men. But not all.
Maybe Ann is like Orphan Black and a clone replaced her some time ago. I’ve never been a fan and have always seen her as pretty much just another circus clown, but at least she could be relied upon to be pretty solid especially once she got out of the clown car.
Now? She’s a clone.
Lack of nutrition has affected her brain cells. Eat a hamburger Ann.
What do you think about Kingston being E. Erickson’s choice?
...and there at least 4 men on Earth that got tired of putting up with Christie Brinkley’s $hit.
