They should have gotten a sworn affidavit from him when they had the chance.

Now, he's saying he never paid anyone to vote

So he pocketed the money instead of paying it out. His vote then was quite expensive.

He is probably lying now. Someone probably asked him if he liked to continue living. and if the answer was yes, he needed to change his tune.

An attorney probably informed him that it is a felony to pay someone to vote a certain way.

It doesn’t matter now. I think he was part lying each time. We can bring him to court if it comes to that. The important thing is that we have 8,300 people who had no business voting in the runoff who voted in the runoff, with more to come.

The DemocRAT tactics of fear and intimidation that the GOPe has adopted with gusto is apparently working IN THIS CASE.

The important thing is that we have 8,300 people who had no business voting in the runoff who voted in the runoff, with more to come.

Add to that the fact that the Cochran campaign deliberately encouraged Democrat voters to violate the law by voting in the GOP runoff for a candidate for whom they had no intention of voting in November. Under Mississippi law, it's against the law for a voter to do that — even if he indeed forgot to vote in the Democrat primary.

Either way he should go to jail.

An attorney probably informed him that it is a felony to pay someone to vote a certain way.

After advising him that it would have been cheaper had he consulted before he acted to break the law...

...and asking him the million dollar question: Do you know anything that could get you immunity? If not, true or not, lie your a$$ off and contradict everything you've said.

Can’t easily prove intent. And all the characters involved are practiced liars on that side.

Not in the case of individual voters. Which is why the law is usually considered unenforceable.

IANAL, but it would seem much easier to make the case that Cochran’s campaign suborned violation of that law as a primary element of their strategy.

McDaniel was never focused on this accusation. He’s always based his investigation and challenge on the vast number of actual illegal votes.
